[Amanda Black] (0:00 - 0:17)
What is up friends? Welcome back to another episode of Let's Talk Football Sis where your favorite sister duo talks all things fantasy football. And of course we add a little bit of female charm to it because if we don't talk about what head coach is the hottest, then was it really fucking fantasy football for the girls, right?
[Angela Sims] (0:18 - 0:19)
I feel it, I feel it.
[Amanda Black] (0:19 - 0:27)
I feel it, I feel it. Well, welcome to week 11 because holy shit, I swear. I know, right?
We're already in week 11. It's absolutely insane to think about.
[Angela Sims] (0:27 - 0:52)
It is. It's crazy to think like, you know, we kind of are almost to that point where things are wrapping up. You're thinking about your end of season.
You're thinking about your playoffs. You're making moves to get to the playoffs, which, you know, you think you couldn't wait for football to happen. And then it just goes so fricking fast.
So fast. Before we know it, it'll be over and we will all be sad and not know what to do in our little winter rut. So.
Oh, I know, I know.
[Amanda Black] (0:52 - 0:56)
Me and Ange both, obviously we both live in Ohio. So like we have a fish that snowed for the first time.
[Angela Sims] (0:56 - 0:57)
Oh, it's so cool.
[Amanda Black] (0:57 - 1:03)
I know, it's early November. It's going to be hot though over the weeks. And we get 60.
It's going to hit 60 over the weekend. Yep.
[Angela Sims] (1:03 - 1:18)
Not here. Not in the Youngstown area. It's going to stay, it's not going to stay super cold.
But I thought about it. I was like, oh, I think I could do something like productive outside on the weekend. But if I gets to be 60 and that changes here, like I'll be really happy.
In, in, right?
[Amanda Black] (1:18 - 1:39)
Yeah. But it's officially like the dark dismal season of the year where it's going to be gray, like, you know, 300 or not 360, but like most days it's going to be gray and gross and disgusting. And all football will be gone soon.
And we'll be sad, but it's okay. It gets us through a lot of the year. And then we just have to get through that weird like February time after the Superbowl, but it'll buff out.
It'll buff out.
[Angela Sims] (1:40 - 1:42)
And we talked about that before. Like Olympics will be on.
[Amanda Black] (1:43 - 1:46)
Oh, Olympics, right? We like hockey. So we typically get into the hockey world.
Yeah.
[Angela Sims] (1:46 - 1:51)
I feel like, you know, pickleball tournament, you know like really get into that. Maybe obscure sports.
[Amanda Black] (1:52 - 2:26)
I love some obscure sports, gym. So I have a gym. That's like 1.5 miles from my home. Right. And it's amazing. Super duper nice.
And he just did a 30,000 square foot addition. Yes. And he's adding full, like full pickleball courts.
So like all winter we're going to be running back pickleball inside. So at least it gives us something to do. I know I'm really, for me, pumped but I don't understand how this man is financing this project because Jesus Christ, but it's a great gym.
So I'm here for it. Some monies baby, but I'm here for it. All right.
Well how did fantasy football go for you this week?
[Angela Sims] (2:28 - 3:18)
It was good. I played against one of my best friends in our league. She's in our league.
And unfortunately she has Jonathan Taylor. So that really just puts it all into perspective. I almost scrounged back except the booty hole game that was Monday Night Football could have been a little bit better for me.
Devontae Smith was kind of the shining star in that. And I had him so good for that but I didn't claw it out there. But the other league did pretty good.
Was pretty happy with my performance and finally saw Alvin Kamara do something which helped me because I thought I was going to lose because of him. But so I think I'm in the top in the one league in our Superflex listener league. And I'm kind of in the middle of the pack on in our other league.
So I was okay with my performance. How about yours? I love it.
Yeah, I took home the W in both of my girls leagues.
[Amanda Black] (3:20 - 4:03)
Superflex by the absolutely skin of my teeth because it was a terrible week for me. But that's fine. I had to play like obscure people.
Like I had to play Chupa Hubbers. Yes, because I had no other ready backs. And it was a tape and glue.
I said that this entire week for every single matchup because I drafted so similarly for all of my teams. So like I have a lot of the similar players. And I said, this was like my tape and glue weeks because so many of my guys were on by.
But it's all right. Some of them absolutely like Darius Slayton held it down for me. Parker Washington held it down for me.
I was like, let's go baby. So that all worked out really well. I did lose in the league that I'm in with my husband but I did play against Jonathan Taylor.
So like at that point, I'm not even pissed off about the loss because if someone drops almost 50 fucking points on you, just take the L, gracefully exit.
[Angela Sims] (4:04 - 4:47)
Yeah, and if I, like my friend and I who I played were texting today. And I said, if Brock Bowers hadn't had such a poopy whole game, we would have been having a different conversation. We would have went into Monday night really, really close.
So it would have been like fun because if Brock Bowers would have dropped last week's points this week, but that is, we say it every single week, that is fantasy football and it keeps you on your toes and it makes you want to come back and kind of make your team better and get the win the next week. So I love it. I mean, it defeats me most times, but.
But if you like spirit a little bit. And I would say the tape and glue games that you win are the more satisfying games than my guys hit it out of the park, so.
[Amanda Black] (4:47 - 4:59)
Or when all of the top performers do absolutely nothing and you're like, what's the fucking point? Like, why do I even do this? Exactly, you're right.
I love it. All right, well talk about your play of the week. What was your favorite play of the week from week number 10?
[Angela Sims] (5:00 - 5:52)
So my play of the week goes back to Parker Washington, like Amanda just mentioned. He's really took advantage of VTJ being out and Travis Hunter being out and kind of stepped into the role. This particular play was a punt return, which there have been a lot of really good punt returns over the course of this year.
Really, really good special teams plays. Is that special teams? Is that considered special teams?
Yes, it is, okay. I got points for Parker Washington scoring that touchdown. Okay, okay.
So Parker Washington, it was a 77 yard punt return. And then he gets to the end zone and he was smart because we've seen some stupid ass players over the course of this year where they're dropping the ball before they get in, trying to be all cool and cute. Well, he looked behind him.
He made sure, am I gonna fall into the end zone? And he did like a trust fall into the end zone and I loved it. That was great for me.
So good for Parker Washington to kind of step it up and do his thing for the team.
[Amanda Black] (5:52 - 6:43)
I love it, I love it. And that should only continue because if you didn't know, Travis Hunter is officially out for the season. So that does elevate Parker Washington's availability.
So that's a fun fact there too. Yeah, my favorite was also a punt return, but it was the back-to-back punt returns for touchdowns from the New York Jets. It was an overall very shitty game.
Shitty offense versus shitty offense, right? And so we knew it was gonna be a heavier defensive matchup, but seeing the New York Jets score two back-to-back special teams touchdown was super-duper fun. It was just a cool moment to watch.
And unfortunately, my husband is a Browns fan. He's like, that's the only time that kind of shit happens against the Browns, who does have a good defensive unit. So it's kind of like, oh, that's unfortunate.
But nonetheless, it was fun. Same exact thing. I know, it's awful, it's awful.
Next up, obviously, Vet of the Week. Who was your Vet of the Week, Ang?
[Angela Sims] (6:44 - 7:23)
Vet of the Week for me was Devon Achan. I mean, surprisingly, this was not his top-scoring game because that came in his rookie season when he scored an outrageous 52 points. But he just really showed everyone, don't doubt me and my possible injuries.
And yes, I am on a shithole offense, which looked much better. And that game just shocked the hell out of me. But yes, but he just did amazing and really put the team on his back and said, hold my beer, boys.
And we say that all the time. Hold my beer, boys. I'll just get this for us and just did his thing.
So Devon Achan for sure. How about you?
[Amanda Black] (7:23 - 8:00)
I love it. Well, Dalton Schultz, Dalton Schultz, whatever. Dalton Schultz, my spicy start of the week was also my boy.
I did have to start two tight ends in a league. And so I was like, you know what? If I'm going to tell other people that he's my spicy start, I'm going to take my own advice.
I'm picking him up. I'm starting him. I'm throwing him my lineup.
And it did bode very well. It also extra bode well, because I have Gadsden and I don't know if he's going to end up playing in week 11 or missing time or whatnot. So at least I got a viable backup option stashed in my back pocket here too.
So Dalton Schultz, you're my boy. You crushed it. Thanks for making my spicy start, not shit the bed this week.
And then I appreciate you.
[Angela Sims] (8:00 - 8:17)
How about Davis Mills? Like- Oh my God. Like how many people were like, oh yeah, this dude will just come in and fill in.
Like we've seen all these other fill-in quarterbacks who have done some good things here and there, but he just, like, you think he ended up, what, a QB one on the week? Like that's insane. Oh my God.
[Amanda Black] (8:17 - 8:22)
Absolutely insane. I was like, good for you, buddy. Good for you.
All right. Who's walking away as your rookie of the week this week?
[Angela Sims] (8:23 - 8:29)
Rookie of the week for me was Travion Henderson. I think I had him as my spicy start of the week. Ooh, I like that crack, that pop crack there.
[Amanda Black] (8:29 - 8:30)
Shirley Temple.
[Angela Sims] (8:30 - 8:30)
Seven up.
[Amanda Black] (8:30 - 8:32)
Zero sugar on Shirley Temple.
[Angela Sims] (8:34 - 8:49)
Anyways, so he took his second consecutive start in that position as the running back with Rewinder Stephenson out. Looking like that might probably happen again. So he, I think, shut up the haters and maybe proved himself to Daddy Vrabel that he could play.
[Amanda Black] (8:49 - 8:51)
I don't know. Daddy, please let me play.
[Angela Sims] (8:51 - 9:24)
Daddy Vrabel, please let me play. But he had like insane running, you know, breakouts. And there was this one, like, meme I saw or whatever.
I don't even know. I'm so old, I don't know what to call them anymore. I try to ask the kids, they don't help me.
But there's this one clip from the Incredibles where the really fast little boy is running and the parents are like telling him to slow down, right? Because they don't want him to actually win. Well, he looks back and checks.
And like Travion Henderson, like, full ass, like, turned and looked. Like, am I allowed to make this touch on Daddy Vrabel? I don't know if I am.
[Amanda Black] (9:25 - 9:26)
So- Permission from Daddy. Permission.
[Angela Sims] (9:27 - 9:38)
And he was probably like, yeah, go ahead, buddy. So he got it and just had a good thing. And I guess the Jets next week, I think he has some really good upside too, or this week.
So keep him on your radar.
[Amanda Black] (9:39 - 11:14)
Agreed. I swear, Vrabel, don't fuck it up. Just let the boy have his day, please, for the love of all things holy.
Right. Oh, gosh. All right, well, my rookie of the week was Tez Johnson.
It's been fun to, obviously they took a loss, right? So they didn't end up winning, but the Buccaneers really did just like overhaul their offense quick, right? God went out, Mike Evans hurt, Emeka Bucca's crushing it.
And Tez Johnson kind of snuck his way right in there and said, you need another guy? I'm going to be that guy. And I love that for him.
Also just single handedly, his touchdown celebration is epic proportions. The back flip, the form, it was raining. And I'm like, don't do it.
But he did it. He did that shit. He stuck it.
It was epic. So Tez Johnson, he had four receptions, 42 yards, two touchdowns, a great day for him. Also think he's a great play until, we're kind of told otherwise, if they bring someone like Mike Evans back later in the year, maybe that tune changes.
But for now, he's a great guy for your lineup as well. All right, well, let's go ahead and move into just a quick little injury report, some updates and notes we want to be looking at as you roll into week 11. Bam Knight did exit the game with an ankle injury and he did not return.
So just something to keep on your radar. Not that many of us are playing Bam Knight, but in the depths of despair of running backs, you might've had to, unfortunately. Dalton Kincaid did leave with a hamstring injury and was ruled out in the second half.
Definitely something to keep your eye on since Kincaid is a heavy hitter in the tight end position. Same thing with Aranda Gadsden, unfortunately did injure his knee and did not return. There were reports that he got an MRI, so that's a little hold your breath.
It was a non-contact, or it was contact. So hopefully it's not like ACL, MCL, anything big, but just check his week 11.
[Angela Sims] (11:14 - 11:31)
I think I heard that maybe it was like a quad bruise or something, which is not as bad as we think, you know, we could've got, so. Oh, for sure. The fact that that year's short would be awful because he's fire.
Terrible, agreed.
[Amanda Black] (11:31 - 11:47)
Devontae Adams is dealing with an oblique injury. So again, McVeigh said that he would have potentially returned to the game had the game been closer. McVeigh is like the most vague ass in the world.
So like, we don't- Make vague, I trust nothing that man says. I'm like, you're just saying whatever, lip service to like confuse the next matchup. Get the fuck out of here.
[Angela Sims] (11:47 - 11:49)
It's like Shanahan Jr. Yeah, he does the same thing.
[Amanda Black] (11:49 - 12:38)
Yes, just watch him at him, okay? Same thing with Jackson Dart, concussion left the game on Sunday. Garrett Wilson apparently is much more injured than we thought because like randomly, just it's a sketchy situation.
Brock Purdy and Ricky Pearsall will be talking about their potential return till eons and eons and eons and eons. So who the hell knows what's happening there. Chris Rodriguez did leave the game with a shoulder injury as well.
So maybe that limits how many Washington commanders running backs there are at this point. J.K. Dobbins, he's probably going to miss time. So he's likely gonna end up being out week 11 at least.
They are talking about like, does he need IR or not, essentially. He did have a nasty hip drop tackle happen to him in that game. So I'm gonna guess that he at least misses week 11, but we'll see if they end up putting him on IR or not.
And then Romeo Dobbs did suffer an injury as well in the, was that Monday night? That was Monday night, right?
[Angela Sims] (12:38 - 12:39)
It was Monday night.
[Amanda Black] (12:39 - 13:04)
Okay, Romeo Dobbs as well. So those are some big names to keep on your radar at this point. But without further ado, let's get into why you're actually fucking here.
Let's talk about some week 11 sit start matchups. And I'm gonna go ahead and kick us off this week with the Thursday night game. We are talking the, I almost said the wrong teams.
It's all good. We're talking the Jets versus the New England. I almost told you all that the Colts are playing the Saints, but the Colts and Saints, they're on by this week.
[Angela Sims] (13:04 - 13:11)
So Danny Dimes, Jonathan Taylor, they're- That would have been the most epic if it was April, like April Fool's Day.
[Amanda Black] (13:11 - 13:16)
Oh, April Fool's? Like we just rolled with it, like start them all, guys. Start them all.
[Angela Sims] (13:16 - 13:23)
Not happening, but the Thursday night matchup- That would have been the episode you share with all your man friends and say, like, listen to this podcast.
[Amanda Black] (13:23 - 14:20)
This is who I listen to, and then they'll listen to us, then we don't have to worry about them. I love it. All right, Thursday night, Jets versus New England.
Let's get into it. So we're gonna start with the Jets. The Jets do face a tough defense in the New England Patriots, and the Jets offense is just, let's be honest, not exciting at all right now.
So there's not a ton of players that you're even gonna trust, not only because they are hard to trust, but because they are facing a difficult defense in the New England Patriots as well. So the only must start is Brees Hall, mostly because there's so many injured running backs. You probably don't have any other options.
And Brees Hall did hold his own last week against a very difficult defense. So there is some upside there that at least he can fucking handle business, even when he does face a difficult matchup. So he's kind of like the bright spot in that offense.
Everyone else from the New York Jets, don't even think about it. You're not thinking about Justin Fields. Garrett Wilson probably isn't gonna play week 11.
So at this point, the injury is so bad because he's still missing time. I wouldn't feel comfortable playing him right away.
[Angela Sims] (14:20 - 14:23)
I think he's ruled out for the next three to four weeks.
[Amanda Black] (14:23 - 14:26)
Okay, okay. I didn't know if that was for previously or if they had updated it or not.
[Angela Sims] (14:26 - 14:30)
I think it's been updated, yes. And just from today, what I heard, so.
[Amanda Black] (14:31 - 16:51)
Then nevermind on Garrett Wilson. And same thing with Mason Taylor. In my opinion, when I'm looking for a mid-tier tight end, because that's all Mason Taylor is, I want a guy that has some fucking grit.
That's going to George Kittle the ball in the end zone. Mason Taylor is not that fucking dude. So like, I don't want him.
I wouldn't be playing him. Droppable candidate, not worth it. And same thing, the Jets defense is not the same Jets defense that started the year.
They traded away their two top defensive players. The Jets defense is now sittable. So that is the only, Brees Hall is the only startable consideration.
And the New England Patriots is a little bit of a different story here. We have must starts of Drake May. Keep starting that boy, give him the start.
And same thing with Stephon Diggs. Stephon Diggs, in my opinion, is the only fully trustable wide receiver. The entire other wide receiver room is wide receiver roulette.
You're placing your chip on and hoping you get the big payout, but you're never, you're going to be sad when you don't. You're losing a lot of money when you don't. Okay?
So can you take a risk on someone like Booty if he does come back? Yes, but that's always going to be a boomer bus, clench your butt cheeks. Holy shit, I don't know what I'm doing moment.
So he's really only there for upside. I'm not going to take a shot on any of the other guys, Matt Collins, Williams, Pop Douglas. They are all accessories to that offense.
Not the main point, not fantasy relevant enough. Now, Henderson, Stevenson, Jesus. If Stevenson is- Jesus is playing?
What? Jesus. Jesus, I don't know what to do.
In my opinion, Henderson and Stevenson, if Stevenson comes back, we have no idea what the split count's going to be. We don't know if it's going to be 50-50. Is Henderson going to go back?
Is it going to be 70-30? Is Daddy Vapor going to say, fuck you, Henderson? Daddy Vapor.
And play Stevenson again? Who the fuck knows? We don't know.
In my opinion though, if Stevenson plays, Henderson and Stevenson are both startable players this week. You just, you're going to have to gut check and hope that they just go. The best case scenario for fantasy relevance is they go 50-50.
The worst case for someone like Travion is for them to go back to that limited split where they're just not giving him touches. And we just don't know what he's going to, what Rable's going to do at this point. Only other person to talk about is Hunter Henry.
And in my opinion, there's better upside tight ends. So I think Hunter Henry is a sit. This is a hard matchup.
Targets are really going to that wide receiver room and the main targets for Hunter Henry. So I would start guys like N'Joku, Finn, and Theo Johnson, Dalton Schultz, Travis Kelsey, all ahead of Hunter Henry. The only guys I would think about going Hunter Henry over is like Mason Taylor, the potpourri of Pittsburgh tight ends.
[Angela Sims] (16:52 - 20:02)
That's basically it. Washington versus Miami. So kind of starting off here, the defense has been playing much better as of late as far as Miami goes, but I don't really trust that.
I mean, we saw them shock the Bills at home, which I think everyone was just scratching their head, like what the hell is going on? They have a good matchup here with Daniels out and likely McLaurin as well. And it is an international game, which changes things just a little bit for the teams, in my opinion.
But there's really no one that I'm confidently starting. I'm not going to confidently start Debo this week because Miami is tougher against the wide receiver. The only guy I would really confidently start would be Zach Ertz if you need a streamer, especially if a guy like Tyler Warren, let's say, you have and he's on a bye week and you need a replacement as your tight end.
So kind of moving into the Washington side of the ball, Marcus Mariota is not a bad streaming option for this week whatsoever. A good matchup for him against Miami. If you need someone because your quarterback is out, maybe like Danny Dimes is gone for you, you need a streaming quarterback, Marcus Mariota wouldn't be a bad choice.
I would start him over guys like Trevor Lawrence and even Bo Nix this week, he has a tough matchup and maybe he's bounces back from last week, we'll see. But our Michael Pennings Jr. And then when we go to wide receiver with Debo Samuel, I just don't really trust Debo. Miami's tough against the wide receiver, he's been spotty of late, especially with Daniels out as quarterback and Mariota in, just haven't seen production from him.
I would start guys like Khalil Shakir over him, Jordan Addison over him, even Quentin Johnson over him. Running back position, we're watching Chris Rodriguez's status. I know I had him in my team because I needed a running back.
If he is out, obviously you're sitting him. I think you're going to just sit anybody from the running back in the running back room for Washington. I don't trust Dracore Kraske-Merritt.
I think the bill hype has faded. Maybe he comes back and shows everybody, hey, if I get more time, here's what I can do. Don't really trust that.
Chris Rodriguez, like I said, could be out and Jeremy McNichols, I don't trust him as the lead back either. So I'm not really trusting anybody in the running back room to really exploit that Miami defense. Like I said, Zach Ertz would be a guy who I'd play over guys like Evan Ingram, Dalton Schultz.
Moving into the Miami side, most definitely guys you are starting on the Miami side are Jalen Model and Devon Achan. Washington defense has been riddled with injuries. Those guys are must-starts.
They are the team's top performers. When we go into the quarterback, Tua is most definitely, and this might be a little bit of a shocker, but a streaming option. I mean, he's showing a little bit and he also has a really good, solid schedule for the rest of the year.
So they go in and play New Orleans, they play Pittsburgh, they play Cincinnati, they play Tampa Bay, they have a bye weekend there somewhere, but he could be a surprise quarterback to close the year. I'm not gonna start him over most guys though. So unless you're in a two-quarterback league, unless you are super, super desperate for a quarterback, I'm not saying go out and get Tua Tagovailoa.
Really no tight ends to mention. I already mentioned Achan and Model, and then I'm setting the defense for Miami.
[Amanda Black] (20:02 - 24:15)
Yeah, also, and I think this week specifically, Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco are both quarterbacks that I would definitely consider starting ahead of like Tua or Michael Penix, just because that's gonna be a good, another icy hot matchup game of just a high point scoring possibility game too, for sure. All right, cool. Moving on to my next matchup, we have Carolina Panthers versus the Atlanta Falcons.
Starting with the Carolina Panthers for the first team, there are two must-starts. Number one, Rico D'Ato. You're trusting Rico D'Ato until Rico D'Ato tells us otherwise.
And really we're only doing that if Rico D'Ato will to get hurt. So you are just trusting the plot and playing him every single week. And honestly, Rico and Tett are the only kind of must-starts, but I'm gonna be very cautious with Tett McMillan as a must-start this week for a couple of reasons.
The Atlanta Falcons is a good defense against the wide receiver room, and the Panthers just don't have a ton of weapons. So what you're kind of worried about is, are they going to scheme their entire offense around targeting Rico and Tett? Now, Rico, you don't have the opportunity to sit because there's no fucking running backs out there and you're not gonna sit at Rico over any of the more favorable, like there's no favorable options over him, in my opinion, unless you're in like a eight-team or less league, then yeah, babe, you've got options.
But if you're in a 12-team or greater, you've gotta throw Rico in. But I think there are better options out there over Tett, in my opinion. Guys like Quentin Johnston, Addison this week has a good matchup, Savante Smith, even someone like a Jawan Jennings, I think could potentially be a better start over Tett McMillan, just because this matchup will be particularly difficult, and their pass game is just nothing to write home about.
So those are the only two guys you might potentially be starting Rico as a for sure, and then Tett as like a, I don't know, it basically depends on who you have on your roster, but those are some options for you to look at. Guys you're definitely sitting is Bryce Young and every other wide receiver from the Carolina Panthers. Chuba Hubbard is a full backup, so you're not even thinking about him, and there are no tight ends of relevance.
The defense is also not in interest for you. The Atlanta Falcons are a little bit different, Mustarts are Drake London, clear and obvious, and B. John Robinson.
And listen, I know that you're pissed just like I am, that Tyler Ruggiero is taking goal line touches away. I swear that's my narrative with fucking running backs this year for fantasy football. I have Kenneth Walker, and I have B.
John Robinson, and I'm yelling at that. We had electricians at our house doing, we like built this whole new back patio situation, and they were like hooking up all the electric, and I'm yelling at Tyler Ruggiero, this like older man is like laughing at me in the kitchen. I'm like, why are you doing this to me?
It was, I was annoying, but you're so, you dropped B. John to start B. John, so you're starting him every single week, okay?
And you can be pissed right alongside of me. So those two guys are Mustarts. Other conversations to have here from the Falcons side of the court.
Yes, Atlanta Falcons, right? That's what I'm talking about, right? There are plenty of other, all the birds, all the birds.
There's plenty other of quarterback options out there. So Penix, in my opinion, is not even someone that's on your radar. Don't think about it.
Same thing with Darnold Mooney. In my opinion, he's a full sit. There's far better upside options than Darnold Mooney to throw him into your lineup.
And Darnold Mooney's at this point, someone you could potentially drop as well. Personally, I'm gonna play guys like even a Tyler Lockett with a good matchup, Trey Tucker over Darnold Mooney. Same thing with like Malik or Parker Washington over Darnold Mooney as well in week number 11.
Oh, Tyler Elgier. I don't like you. Actually, I hate the offensive coordinator.
Whoever calls the plays, I hate you, okay? Via Bentley despise you. The man you paid Buku money to.
Yeah, you're right. Don't give him the work, okay? LOL, you don't wanna win.
Okay, whatever. Anyways, Tyler Elgier is a startable option. He's just not a must-start.
He's basically in that category if you are dealing with a ton of injuries and you have no potential upside, you can start him. But like, hear me when I say this, I'm only starting him over guys in the like Jordan Mason, Nick Chubb, Brian Robinson Jr. category. Those are the only guys I'm gonna start Tyler Elgier over.
I would be playing, this is a little bit rogue, but like I would even play like Apollo Spheres over Elgier. I'd play Monty, I'd play Sharps ahead of Elgier. I think they're getting a little bit more consistent work.
Elgier's gonna have those games, but you're not always gonna be able to bet on them in my opinion. And then again, with the Falcons defense, there are better streaming options out there as well.
[Angela Sims] (24:15 - 25:19)
All right, next up, I got Chicago versus Minnesota. I feel like I should say that in accents, but I didn't. They are both middle, or Chicago faces Minnesota, which is a very middle of the road defense.
They do apply some more pressure on positions that Chicago hasn't faced in the last couple of weeks. They are pretty easy against the tight end position. So we'll talk about that here in a minute as a kind of an option.
I'm still gonna say Caleb Williams, Roman Dunzey, and DeAndre Swift are all starts for me for sure. And then moving into some questionables, DJ Moore goose-egged ya. Goose-egged ya hard in week number 10.
I'm a little bit on the fence about him. Just because Minnesota isn't super-duper hard or super-duper easy against wide receivers, I would probably go on the side of caution and sit him, unless you need to start him. I'm gonna sit him over guys like Jordan Addison.
I would even play Rasheed Shaheed and go for him. Khalil Shakir over DJ Moore. Lost my train of thought.
[Amanda Black] (25:20 - 25:31)
As far- Yeah. Agreed. Yeah, I think you have so many better options over DJ Moore.
Not that I ever think he's gonna goose-egg you consistently, but he just isn't getting the work consistently that you want either.
[Angela Sims] (25:31 - 25:58)
And then another running back to think about is Kyle Mnungai. He's been very relevant for this backfield. They faced much easier opponents against that rushing offense.
So Mnungai, I might start him over guys like Charbonnet. I think he's gonna get a little bit more, maybe a little bit more action than Charbonnet and possibly Vidal. You don't agree with that?
No, not at all. No. Absolutely not.
No.
[Amanda Black] (25:58 - 26:11)
Swift is their running back. So they're gonna fall back to giving Swift more work. Yeah.
I think that Sharps at least has goal line work. So at least you know that Sharps probably gonna get, you don't know if Kyle Mnungai's, what kind of work he's gonna get week to week.
[Angela Sims] (26:11 - 28:10)
True. True. I'm gonna sit him over guys like Woody Marks, Aaron Jones, even DiMarcato this week, I think has a good matchup to kind of put him in a place there to start.
And then when it comes to the tight end position, which Minnesota's easier up against, we have Colston Loveland to talk about. Now, Cole Kmet is back into play, but even with Cole Kmet back, Loveland was still very relevant. So he didn't completely go away.
I would still take a shot on starting Loveland this week with this good matchup. He was second on the team in receiving behind Adunze this week. He's becoming more reliable after his slow start.
And then the Chicago defense is not good. So we are sitting the Chicago defense. Going into the Minnesota side of the ball, you know, the defense, like I said, is weak against all positions.
It's a good matchup for the Vikings. They can give a little bit more pressure to the quarterback and they can force turnovers just a little bit more. So guys who I'm definitely starting would be Justin Jefferson, would be Jordan Addison, would be Aaron Jones for sure.
To talk about the quarterback, JJ McCarthy is not a bad streaming option, but he has been a little bit on the fence for me because he's not been super duper consistent. He's doing some things that maybe aren't doing, you know, great things for the team. He's not getting the ball to his receivers like we want to.
I would sit him over a guy like Jordan Love. I played Jordan Love over him this week, but I would probably start him over Mac Jones. I even probably have him over Bo Nix this week because of his a little bit easier matchup.
If we're talking Aaron Rodgers or JJ McCarthy as a streamer, I'm gonna go Aaron Rodgers this week over JJ McCarthy. The veteran there for me is a little bit more reliable. And then at the tight end position, I just still am not loving TJ Hawkinson.
I might start him over a guy like Mason Taylor just because he could get into the end zone a little bit more. Maybe he has, like Amanda said, a little bit more of that grit. And then I would probably, I definitely think about because of this matchup starting the Minnesota defense over Chicago.
[Amanda Black] (28:11 - 30:00)
Agreed. We'll talk a little bit more about Jordan Love here a little bit, and I'll give you some of my opinions. This is the beauty about fantasy football is everyone has slightly different opinions.
My Houston, next matchup, Houston versus Tennessee, which there's one team we can talk some stuff about and then another team where we just really don't even wanna have conversations about at all. So we'll start with the more relevant team, the Houston Texans. Your must-starts is Nico Collins and Woody Marks.
It does appear at this point, Woody Marks took more time from Chubb this week. It looks like he is their clear lead back. And Nick Chubb will still get work, right?
He's still gonna be able to be the relief guy for Woody Marks. And if they're winning by a lot, you're gonna see a little bit more of Nick Chubb. Doesn't mean Nick Chubb's irrelevant.
He just probably isn't someone you're starting. But Woody Marks now is someone you can confidently put into your lineup as a running back, which this deep in the year, when the running back room is sparse, if you held onto Woody Marks, good for you. Houston is facing the Titans, obviously, like we said, and this leaves a great position for the wide receiver.
It's very, very favorable for the wide receiver. So obviously that puts Nico Collins in a better position. There really isn't any other wide receiver from the Houston Texans that I'm truly going to trust.
The only conversation to have is Jaden Higgins. We did see his snap count increase in two weeks ago when Nico Collins missed time. And there was other wide receivers that missed time as well.
After that, Jaden Higgins has essentially owned about like 50-ish percent of the snap count, which isn't great and isn't terrible. In my opinion, this is a guy who, if you do want to grab him, you just basically want to roster him and wait to see what the snap count shakes out to over the next several weeks, see if they're really going to commit to him or not. If he isn't surpassing a 50% snap count, I'm not going to waste my time on him.
But if he does in the future, then I do like Jaden Higgins, just not as a start this week. Davis Mills, man, don't get me wrong. You're not starting him.
CJ's probably coming back, but like, oh my God. 27 completions, 292 passing yards, a comeback win. Baby, yes.
[Angela Sims] (30:00 - 30:07)
He put that team on his back and says, we're going to win this shit. Let's go. He deserves a definite shout out there, for sure.
[Amanda Black] (30:08 - 31:26)
The only other position here is the Tennessee is better against the tight end position, but I still like Schultz as a streaming tight end this week. There's a good amount of tight ends who are out, down, hurt, right, Kraft, Kincaid, Gadsden. So you're probably like, holy shit, crawling your way out of that.
So I do like Schultz as a streaming tight end this week as well. I kind of already mentioned Nick Chubbs, but he would be a set. And I love this as a streaming defense against a struggling Tennessee Titans offense.
This one, Tennessee Titans, there are no must starts. Zero must starts, okay? Houston is a great defense.
So Tennessee faces the toughest defense against both the quarterback and one of the hardest against the wide receiver, making passing options terrible this week. Cam Ward struggling, you know, your Alec Ironman or DK, like these guys are not gonna be able to get the fucking football, in my opinion. I'm looking to sit everyone.
The only one you could put, or the only position you're maybe starting is the running back, probably because you're fucking desperate and you gotta go Pollard or Spears if you have them, because you're not gonna play like a Chuba Hubbard. You're gonna play Pollard or Spears. Again, I already said this, but I would play Pollard or Spears over Algiers because at least they're getting consistent.
You know, they're gonna get work. And like, you just never know what's gonna happen with a true backup running back, right? So those are the only guys you're just gonna count on about six to 10 points and that's it.
And don't even think about touching the Titans defense. Cool, cool.
[Angela Sims] (31:26 - 31:33)
Poor Titans. I know last week we talked about, God, thank God we don't have to talk about Alec. Do I start Alec Islemaner?
I don't matter.
[Amanda Black] (31:33 - 31:34)
I hate that coin.
[Angela Sims] (31:34 - 31:42)
I'm like, I don't fucking know. No, when I divvied up the games, I was like, oh good, she got that game. She can talk about Alec Islemaner this week.
Oh no, I froze again.
[Amanda Black] (31:42 - 31:42)
You're okay.
[Angela Sims] (31:43 - 33:14)
My next game here is Buffalo Bills versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For the Bills side, there are some must starts. So Tampa Bay is probably a little bit better against the run, but I'm still gonna be pretty confident with James Cook.
I mean, no doubts there. And Josh Allen, another must start here. I would have put Dalton Kincaid in this spot until the injury.
So we're kind of watching him and his hamstring injury, which doesn't look great, probably be out. So looking to stream some of those guys like a Dalton Schultz, for instance, like we just talked about. Guys to talk about here would be wide receivers.
Please ladies, do not think that Keon Coleman is back because Keon Coleman is not. He's still not supposed to be on your roster. Don't go out and grab him because he had one spicy game.
Khalil Shakir, on the other hand, is someone to talk about. I would start him this week because he's a reliable source as a pass catcher for Josh Allen, especially with Kincaid possibly being out with that hamstring. He's gonna look for Shakir more.
Shakir doesn't do big, flashy, great things, but Shakir gets the job done, right? He gets you points, he's reliable, he does what he's supposed to do. I'm definitely gonna start him, in my opinion, over a guy like Jawan Jennings.
I'm gonna trust Shakir just a little bit more. And then I might sit a guy like, or I might sit Khalil Shakir over the potential kind of bigger upside of a Jameson Williams, especially with Jameson Williams coming more into play, especially last week. And that's really all to talk about as far as they go.
The Dalton-Kincaid injury kind of puts Dalton-Kincaid out of my lineup here.
[Amanda Black] (33:15 - 33:30)
Yeah, the only other guy there is Dawson Knox. If Kincaid does miss time, he would take over as their lead tight end. True.
I'm like, not a bad, Dawson Knox is fine. So it's an option. Again, if you're desperate for a tight end and you really need a streaming guy, you could take a shot on him if you need to.
[Angela Sims] (33:31 - 35:51)
True. And then as far as the Bills' defense, I'm gonna sit him against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On the other side of the ball, must-starts for Tampa Bay would be Baker Mayfield, would be Emeka Ibuka, who are still doing great things.
And then everyone else to kind of talk about would be a little bit different. I still say, like Amanda mentioned earlier, Tez Johnson is a start. He's been a really great part of that offense.
He's stepping up, he's doing great things. He's doing backflips in the rainy end zone, right? So I'm gonna start him over guys like Parker Washington this week, even Keenan Allen this week.
I like Tez Johnson more than him. I'm gonna sit him probably over guys like maybe Rasheed. No, Rasheed, yes.
Oh my gosh, it just punked me. And I thought, wait, Rasheed Shaheed's on a bye. No, he's on a different team.
Oh my gosh. Started, sit him over Rasheed Shaheed in a new offense where I think he's gonna become a little bit more relevant. I would even sit him over Trey Tucker who has a really easy matchup against the Dallas offense.
So that might be something to look at there. When we talk about running backs, Rashad White is just not doing really great things and we're still monitoring Bucky Irving's injury. When is he gonna come back?
I'm sitting Rashad White for the most part over guys like Henderson, over guys like Montgomery. I'm gonna start him over guys like, I would start him over Kenneth Walker. I think he's getting more touches than Kenneth Walker is and maybe more, not touches, but more goal line work than Kenneth Walker is where Charbonnet's taking those things.
Sean Tucker might be someone to even look at a little bit here as well in the running back position. If they're not trusting Rashad White as much, Sean Tucker might come into it. I wouldn't start him, but I think Bucky will be back soon, we hope.
We hope it's not one of those, well, we think he might be back and then we're not getting clear answers. We want him to be back. That's the case for sure.
When it comes to tight end, Kate Autin is a definite start. He's getting great targets from Baker Mayfield because of losing those big targets in the offense. So he is a start here, even if they are facing a Bills defense that is tougher against the tight end, Kate Autin's a good start for me.
And I'm gonna sit the defense for the Buccaneers against the Bills offense that should look to bounce back after a brutal loss against Miami. Hopefully that revenge, I'm mad, I need to win to prove myself thing comes into play.
[Amanda Black] (35:51 - 38:57)
I agree. You would assume that would be the case, but we shall see. Moving on to my matchup, Green Bay versus the New York Giants.
We're gonna go ahead and start with Green Bay. I don't think there's too many people as a must start to talk about. Josh Jacobs is one of them, that's for sure.
You're always gonna throw him in your line of, even against a very tough defense last week, he still was fantasy relevant, which is great to see. And then the Green Bay defense is a fantastic play this week, specifically if Jackson Dart does not play. This is like his 85th fucking concussion on the year.
And so like, who knows if Russell Wilhelm ends up being the quarterback. They fired the Giants head coach. Jameis, Jameis, Jameis.
Jameis is more, at least it keeps your players fantasy relevant. If Russell's behind the football, your players aren't fantasy relevant anymore. They're set up.
If Jameis is there, fuck it, I love playing in the snow. Jameis Williams is tossing darts all over the place. It's snowing guys, it's so beautiful.
Just so lucky to be here. Right in the beautiful snow. I love him so much.
Bring him back to the NFL, he brings a lightness to us. All right, Jordan Love, there has been a few extremely terrible fantasy weeks for him. And this week they are facing a much easier defense against the Giants.
We've gotta keep in mind that he's faced hard defenses. They're coming off of a matchup of the Eagles, which was just a defense versus defense battle, right? However, the wide receiver room for Green Bay to extremely hurt Kraft is also out, right?
And so Luke Musgraves is no Tucker Kraft. So these are things to keep about. Just gonna limit the amount of passing potential there is for Jordan Love.
Also because the Giants defense is easy against the run, I think this is gonna be the Josh Jacobs show, which just means fantasy relevance for Jordan Love is diminished, making his point potential lower. So in my opinion, I would go upside of a JJ McCarthy over Jordan Love because the matchup's good for JJ and he's got way more offensive weapons you can trust. He's gonna sling the ball.
So he's throwing darts out there, he's taking shots and he uses his legs a shit ton. So like, that's my personal opinion there. I would also start guys like Caleb Williams, Jared Goff, Herbert Stafford.
I'm even playing Sam Darnold ahead of Jordan Love. That's just my personal preference though. The only way I'm gonna throw Jordan Love in my lineup is if I'm like, I don't know, I gotta play Brayfield or Dino Smith.
Fuck no, you're gonna play Jordan Love then, okay? Romeo Tubbs exited the game, so we're not sure about his week 11 availability. I'm not really gonna start a DeTavian Wicks or a Christian Watson just because again, they're not fantasy reliable because it really is just hit or miss with their wide receiver room.
I would start a Tez Johnson far before I took a risk on DeTavian Wicks or Christian Watson in my opinion. I would even start a Tep McMillan ahead of these guys as well. Just keep that in mind for your roster too.
Luke Musgraves for me is not a like streaming tight end that I'm looking at. Schultz, Theo, Kelsey, Andrews, Fanon, Najoku are all guys I would be starting ahead of Luke Musgraves. And then I already mentioned the defense, obviously that is a must start for sure.
Moving on to the giant side of the football. Now the head coach was fired, Brian Dayball was let go from the New York Giants, which I heard that and I was like, kind of unfair, okay? I think his whole team's just been ravaged with injuries.
Give the man a break, damn it. Also that's your husband's lookalike is now.
[Angela Sims] (38:58 - 39:06)
I was just gonna say, no. Every time he comes up, I'm like, why are you not being Brian Dayball for Halloween? He should have been Brian Dayball.
Halloween, Brian Dayball.
[Amanda Black] (39:06 - 39:16)
And his husband looks oddly similar to Brian Dayball. Well, if you watch this on YouTube, you'll see a picture right now. We'll flash it because the resemblance is there.
I'm just saying.
[Angela Sims] (39:17 - 39:23)
It's probably the bald-headed though, honestly. Usually he looks like a very, really any other bald-headed man.
[Amanda Black] (39:23 - 39:24)
Correct, correct, correct.
[Angela Sims] (39:24 - 39:26)
But the facial features are similar, yeah.
[Amanda Black] (39:26 - 39:45)
I agree, I agree. All right, well, when a coach is fired, historically, typically that team performance has a really bounce back performance right after that. But I'm not betting on that happening this week simply because Jackson Dart, I don't know if he's gonna play or not.
Homie needs to change the way he plays, okay? Because he's putting himself in it. He can't play in the NFL if he plays like that.
[Angela Sims] (39:46 - 39:51)
No, I asked you earlier, I said, you think he's gonna make it? And we're starting to see him not make it.
[Amanda Black] (39:51 - 41:38)
No, he's not making it, he's not making it. So must-starts for this side of the football, honestly, it all hinges on Jackson Dart starting or who they announce as their lead quarterback. Because if they announce Russell Wilson, you don't want any part of that passing offense, none.
If for some reason, James Winston plays, then okay, we could maybe consider him. So hear me out. Darius Slayton had a great week.
He did have that injury, he left, he came back. Just keep your eye on that. If Dart plays, I love Darius Slayton.
If Russell Wilson plays, I'm sitting Darius Slayton. If Jameson Winston plays, this is a really good defense, but I might consider Slayton. Wanda Robinson, same story here.
If Dart plays, Robinson can play. If Russell plays, Robinson sit. If Jameson plays, you got an option.
Sit start, take a risk if you want to. It's just risky, know that. Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary, honestly, I'm not excited about starting either of them this week against the Green Bay Packers.
We watched the Green Bay Packers handle business against Saquon Barkley. And these two men together aren't even half of Saquon Barkley. They're one leg, one Saquon Leg.
One large 500 squat Saquon Leg. And that is it, my friends. I'm not excited about starting them.
If you do need to start them, just again, tape your expectations of playing the Green Bay Packers. You'll be real happy if you get like six to eight points from these guys this week as well. Theo Johnson, in my opinion, is the only tight end or the only player that I might consider regardless of the quarterback situation.
And this is just because I think tight end or tight end, Theo Johnson, the tight end, he's got that get up and grit in him. He's going for things. He's putting his body out there.
He's a big body dude and he makes plays. So I don't mind a desperate Theo Johnson play if you need it. But like Kate Aughton and all of those like more explosive tight ends, I would play ahead of Theo Johnson as a heads up.
Oh, and the defense. I'm sitting in the Giants defense.
[Angela Sims] (41:38 - 44:51)
All right, going into round two of the Icy Hot Bowl here is Cincinnati versus Pittsburgh. Super excited to watch this rematch because hoping we can see our Pittsburgh Steelers tough it out, but it's fun to watch. It's fun to watch Joe Flacco.
I'm not mad at watching Joe Flacco. So in this particular case, Pittsburgh's defense is like, they're just like, I don't know what it is. I literally have no words for it, right?
Like, are they back? Are they gonna be gone again? So it really is kind of up in the air of what are they gonna do?
Are they gonna apply pressure? Are they going to be able to give Joe Flacco some pressure because he's that pocket passer? We'll see.
But Joe Flacco is definitely a good option here as a streaming quarterback. If he's available, and we know we talk about, we filmed this earlier in Wavers Go Later, but if he's still available, he's someone to grab. Now, not someone long-term because it was released that Joe Burrell might be back in week 13 or week 14, and that might be really good for people, but it just really depends on can Joe Flacco keep getting him wins so they become playoff relevant.
Other guys to start would be Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Chase Brown. Those are really no-brainer starts for me on the Cincinnati side of the ball. If you are missing a tight end and you really have no other options to pick from, Noah Fant could be a good guy to look at because Pittsburgh is weaker against the tight end, but not someone you're gonna go out of your way to grab.
If you're really in a spot where, oh shit, I need a tight end and he's available, maybe in free agency, you can snatch him up. And I'm not gonna trust the Pittsburgh defense necessarily, even against the Cincinnati offense because they are explosive, because they can get the things done. So I'm not gonna even put them as a streaming option for me this week.
Going into the Pittsburgh side of the ball, oh boy, the only start really I have for me on this side would be Jalen Warren at all. And then Aaron Rodgers, we kind of already talked about the fact that he's a good option as a streamer for this week because of the matchup, because of Cincinnati's poo-poo defense. Usually we would put DK Metcalf in there, oh, we've got to start him, but he has been absolute trash ball for the last couple of weeks.
He is so large and so big. How is he not just making his presence known? I do not know.
Now, that being said, the Cincinnati defense is bad. So you can rely on the Pittsburgh wide receivers. So I would still start DK.
I would even think about starting Calvin Austin because they are very poor against the wide receivers. Even in the running back position, Kenneth Gainwell could be thought about as an RB kind of two position there because he's probably gonna get some play. Jalen Warren's gonna take most of them, especially with his passing upside.
And then if you are in need of a tight end, there are so many to pick from from the Pittsburgh side of the ball. I'm not going to say to start any of them. If you are in a super sticky situation and you can't get someone like Noah Fant because he's not available or something, Pratt Friar-Muth might be there.
And I am not gonna, oh, I think I flip-flopped my defense.
[Amanda Black] (44:51 - 44:52)
You did, it's okay.
[Angela Sims] (44:52 - 45:01)
You were looking at me like I said something. I'm like, oh, shit, what did I say? Okay, well, I'm not gonna start the Cincinnati defense and I'm also not gonna even trust the Pittsburgh defense here as well.
[Amanda Black] (45:01 - 45:09)
I agree. It's all good. I was like, I think we get it though.
You were talking about the paying goals. You just happened to snake the wrong defense in there.
[Angela Sims] (45:09 - 45:11)
Shit, all these old guys playing quarterback.
[Amanda Black] (45:12 - 48:36)
It'll buff out, it'll buff out. All right, match up next for me is the Chargers versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. We're gonna go ahead and start with the Chargers.
Mustard's for me here. Ladd-McConkie, it is the Ladd show at this point, okay? Took him a minute.
We were nervous. Now we're not. It is the Ladd show.
You keep running him back. At this point, Keenan Allen has not surpassed like 30 yards in like multiple games. So I know, I think we see he's put up some big games.
I don't love Keenan Allen at this point. I think Quinton Johnston would get a muster ahead of Keenan Allen. Crazy, right?
So Ladd, Quinton Johnston. Jacksonville Jaguars have allowed the ninth most passing yards and the fourth most receiving touchdowns this season to the wide receiver position. That's why I like Quinton Johnston even better because he does tend to get a ball a little bit deeper down the sidelines as well.
I think, but all again, not an insanely hard matchup for him. And we've seen him handle business against difficult matchups. People say, I'm gonna sit him, it's a hard matchup.
He's still getting the bulk of the work. I think he's a favorable upside for that singular position. So I still think Vidal is a good play as well.
Herbert, we're gonna keep letting him be a streaming quarterback. I know he only put up 14.7 points this week, but that's still a solid showing. It's much better than what Bo Nix and Jordan Love did for you.
He's still relying heavily on his pass game and he's a good streaming option. I would start Justin Herbert over Bo Nix, over Mac Jones, over Jordan Love. It would sit Justin Herbert though over Mahomes, Hertz, Drake May, and hello, Josh Allen.
I don't know why the Allens really got me confused there. Keenan Allen, in my opinion, I think you have more favorable options in the wide receiver position. Even someone risky like a Troy Franklin, even someone risky like a potential, like a Parker Washington, a Trey Tucker, even like a Tyler Lockett potentially, maybe even Calvin Austin ahead of Allen just because his production is slowly dropping, he's old, we anticipated that.
Gaston, we're gonna have to wait to see what happens with his injury. So we're not sure about that just yet. If you need a backup tight end, Schultz, Ertz, Knox, if Kincaid misses time is all options.
Defense, you can look for better streaming options outside of the Chargers defense as well. Jacksonville, again, a limited list of must-starts here. Travis Etienne's at the top of my must-start list though.
Give him the start for sure. He looks great, he's playing great, he's performing good. Tootin' is just his backup, so don't worry about him.
In regards to other wide receivers here, I think this elevates, because Travis Hunter is now done for the year, this naturally elevates both Parker Washington and Jacoby Myers. It was Jacoby Myers' first week with the team last week. I think he is a player that you can look at being a startable option for you in your lineup specifically if we get news of BTJ being out for a longer period of time.
He missed last week, we aren't sure about his availability for week number 11, so keep that in mind. I would definitely be starting Parker Washington and Jacoby Myers ahead of guys like Darius Slayton, Wanda Robinson, all of the Titans wide receivers, Tet McMillan, Jerry Judy, DJ Moore, these guys are all going above that, so just keep that in mind when you're looking at setting your lineup as well. They are valid wide receiver options.
You can feel confident in starting. Trevor Lawrence is not a valid quarterback option unless you're in a double quarterback league. You don't need him, you can drop him altogether.
Tootin' is a sit, there's no tight end options to talk about, and you have better streaming options out there outside of the Jaguars. They're not bad, they're a decent defense. I'm just not keen on starting them this week in particular, and there's options like the Falcons, 49ers, Texans, and Ravens, and the New England Patriots, I would all consider above the Jags defense.
[Angela Sims] (48:36 - 51:09)
All right, moving into my next game, Seattle versus the Los Angeles Rams. On the Seattle side, really the defense for the Rams applies pressure to the QB, is a little bit easier on wide receivers, but gives more kind of a tougher matchup against the running back and the tight end position. So there's a very clear start here, and that is Jackson Smith, Najigba, I mean, he is the top guy.
When we move into the quarterback, Sam Darnold, I'm sitting this week, hit a very underwhelming week last week against a tougher defense. He's gonna face a little bit of a tougher defense again this week. I would sit him over guys like Jared Goff.
I'd even start Marcus Mary Oda with his matchup over Sam Darnold. Going into the wide receiver room, now we have a new addition of Rasheed Shaheed, and he kind of buddies things up for Cooper Cup. I probably trust Rasheed Shaheed's explosivity, if that's a word, I just made it a word, if it's not a word, more than Cooper Cup.
So I would start Rasheed Shaheed in this particular matchup. I would sit Cooper Cup. Rasheed Shaheed was a little bit underwhelming last week, but it was like Amanda said about Jacoby Myers, his first week with the offense, he's gonna keep getting better.
He's gonna become one of those startable guys for you. As far as the running back position goes, the Rams are tougher on the running back position. So Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are gonna have another issue here with who are we starting, who are we sitting?
I'm gonna go with sitting Kenneth Walker. I'm gonna go with starting Zach Charbonnet, in my opinion. I feel just because of the fantasy relevance, Charbonnet is the start.
He's the one getting the points. He's the one that you're gonna want for fantasy versus Kenneth Walker. Kenneth Walker's looked better, for sure.
By no means does Zach Charbonnet look like the better running back, but I'm gonna trust Charbonnet here. On the other side of the ball, Los Angeles Rams, there are some very definite starts. You are gonna keep rolling with the heater that Matthew Stafford is running on.
You're gonna start Pukunukuwa. You're gonna make sure you watch the status of Devontae Adams. Like we said, Sean McVay said he could return.
I think he will be just fine. And you're gonna start Kyron Williams. When it comes to other guys, someone to kind of take a look at is Blake Corham.
You're not gonna start him over Kyron Williams by any means. But if you're in a sticky spot with a running back, he's someone that you can take a look at. But again, he is a sit.
There really are no tight ends to talk about here on the Rams side. So we're not gonna really waste too much time there. And then I'm gonna start the Rams defense against this matchup.
[Amanda Black] (51:10 - 53:10)
I love it. All right, moving over to San Francisco versus Arizona. Some mustards on the San Francisco side of the football.
You are starting CMC. You're starting Jawan Jennings. At this point, he's a very startable guy.
Even if Pierce Hall, for some reason, does come back, I'm still very comfortable putting Jawan Jennings in my lineup. Same thing with the George Kittle himself. He's a great option.
He's got that fight in him. We love to see it. And he had a great week 10 as well.
Quarterback-wise, I still think you have better options outside of like Mac Jones. I'm not playing Brock Pardee if he does come back. I think you have better options.
Not that Mac Jones is terrible. He does decent when he throws good touchdowns, but you're always wondering, is it gonna be a CMC week or not? And is he gonna lose touches to that?
So I don't think he's a great option. Same thing with Brian Robinson. Yes, he gets some work as CMC's backup, but you're never gonna throw him into your lineup because he is truly just CMC's backup.
He's just a handcuff. Pierce Hall, who knows? We'll be talking about the re-entry of Pardee and Pierce Hall for the rest of the season.
I feel like I'm probably not gonna start him if he comes back right away. I think he got plenty of other wide receiver options with how many changes and injuries and all that kind of stuff that's out there right now. Defense-wise, they are a potential streaming defense as they face the Arizona Cardinals for sure.
On the Arizona Cardinals side of the football, we've got Marvin Harrison and Trey McBride as your clear and obvious must-start options. And then looking over at the quarterback, like I'm not gonna start Jacoby Bursette. He shouldn't even be on your roster unless you're in a two-quarterback league.
We talked a little bit, like there's no other wide receivers I would talk about from the Arizona Cardinals, and we've hit on Amar DiMarcano a little bit. The reason that we talk about him is, number one, he fits the offensive scheme of the Cardinals very well. It's exactly what they like to see in their running back room, so he's being used frequently and he's relevant.
Now, you're always gonna be carrying a jumbo-sized bottle of Tums when you put Amar DiMarcano in, so keep that in mind. But we did see Van Nuyt get hurt in week 10, and if for some reason he misses time, Trey Benson's not back yet, I think DiMarcano is an option to throw in your lineup this week, and it is a good matchup for the running back room here as well. And the defense-wise, I would not consider the Arizona defense.
[Angela Sims] (53:11 - 53:12)
Even with Jacoby's donk, you're not starting.
[Amanda Black] (53:13 - 53:16)
Jacoby's donk, I'm not gonna throw you in for your donk alone, Jacoby, sorry.
[Angela Sims] (53:17 - 55:19)
For your donk alone. Okay, we're moving on to Baltimore and Cleveland, another spicy, scrappy matchup here. Must-start players, you're starting Lamar Jackson, you're starting Derrick Henry, you're starting Zay Flowers, I'm even gonna just say you're starting Mark Andrews.
Yes, the defense for Cleveland is a little tougher, but we saw that kind of be exploited a little bit by the Jets last week. Lamar is too elite, Derrick Henry is too elite with Lamar back. Wide receivers are gonna get more play here, and Mark Andrews is the guy that Lamar Jackson looks for.
I'm sure Derrick Henry could throw to him as well. Who knows? You're gonna sit guys like Isaiah Lightly, you're not even thinking about him, he's probably not on your roster.
And then when it comes to the Baltimore defense, I think it's something that you can think about starting this week. He's a very viable streamer if you need to stream it against this very weak and rookie quarterback, weak grounds offense, all those different types of things. When we go into the Cleveland side, the only guy you're starting is Quenshawn Judkins, there really is no other person on that team that I would even kind of think about starting this week.
The Baltimore defense is turning things around a little bit, they've been weaker in the beginning of the year, they're coming back a little bit stronger, and this offense is just not great. You're sitting Dylan Gabriel, like Amanda said before, you are not rostering him, he shouldn't be on your roster, right? When are we gonna see Shadur?
We don't know. It's just, I think, a waiting game at this point. Jerry Judy, what the hell, finally started to show a little bit of some oomph, but I'm still sitting Jerry Judy.
If you are in such desperate need for a wide receiver that you wanna stash on your bench, maybe he's someone to look at, but he is a naughty start, naughty start, naughty start. When it comes to tight ends on the Cleveland side, Njoku and Fannin are still very much relevant, and they are both very startable this week against the Baltimore defense, and then going into the Cleveland defense, I also see them as a start this week to put that pressure on the Baltimore Ravens offense.
[Amanda Black] (55:19 - 58:31)
Yeah, oddly enough, I favor the Baltimore defense over the Cleveland defense this week, as crazy nutty as we might say, but the Ravens defense is getting much better. Specifically, I think we had a view of them from the beginning of the year, and now that Lamar's back, they are getting better, so it's not a terrible defensive unit to trust at this point. I think we all kind of forgot about them for a hot second because they were so shitty at the beginning of the year, but they're getting better, they're getting better.
All right, next matchup, Kansas City versus the Denver Broncos. So must-starts from the Kansas City side of the football, Patrick Mahomes or Shea Rice. Both of those guys, lock them into your lineup.
Don't think too much about that. I know the Denver defense is good, but you're not sitting either of them for sure. The rest of the Kansas City team is like a clusterfuck of unknowns.
So Xavier Worthy, in my opinion, this week is a sit, and guys like Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers, Tyler fucking Lockett, just this week, Trey Tucker, are all guys that would start ahead of Xavier Worthy, just something to keep in mind. And the running back room, I am looking to sit both Pacheco and Hunt if I can. I would start RJ Harvey over both of them.
They're facing a very tough Denver defense against the run. Neither of them are all that exciting running backs to begin with, so I don't have a ton of faith in them. I'm also probably gonna play someone like a Kenneth Walker over Pacheco and Hunt as well.
I just think there's a little bit more upside as opposed to just Pacheco and Hunt getting absolutely demolished by the Denver defense, in my opinion. Travis Kelsey, again, he's just a mid-tier tight end you're starting. You're really not gonna be sitting a Travis Kelsey at this point.
He's shown us enough that he's at least being a consistent target for Patrick Mahomes, and he's just that mid-tier tight end. We're never expecting amazing things. He's not like a George Kittle or a Trey McBride or a Brock Bowers, but if you get anywhere between six to 11 points, you're fucking geeked, and more than that, you're riding a high.
So that's what we're expecting from Travis Kelsey. The defense for the Kansas City, I think you have better options outside of playing their defensive unit, in my opinion. Next up, we have Denver.
This is hard because, in my opinion, the only oddly enough must-start player might be RJ Harvey, specifically if J.K. misses time, which, at this point, we're certain J.K. is gonna miss time. And then I also would play Troy Franklin ahead of, yes, Cortland Sutton. So this is- It's kind of the hardest conversation because, at this point, Troy Franklin's getting targets like a wide receiver one, but Cortland Sutton is their wide receiver one.
Bo Nix and Troy Franklin are connecting really well, and if they could just connect on that deep ball, we'd all be geeked out because he'd be scoring massive points. They just haven't quite connected on that deep, deep downfield ball just yet. Again, in my opinion, I'm trusting Troy Franklin more than Sutton.
It doesn't mean Sutton's an automatic sit, but I would start Quinton- I'll kind of give you context. I would start Quinton Johnston over both Cortland Sutton and Troy Franklin. However, I would start Troy Franklin ahead of guys like Jamison Williams and Parker Washington.
Harder matchups, I would go ahead and start Troy Franklin. I would start Jamison Williams ahead of Cortland Sutton. I would start Parker Washington ahead of Sutton, but not ahead of Troy Franklin.
So just some context to keep in mind in the wide receiver room. And then the defense is a great start. Even against Kansas City, I think they're a fine defensive start for the week.
There's no tight ends to consider there.
[Angela Sims] (58:32 - 59:50)
Moving into my last matchup here, it would be Detroit Lions versus the Philadelphia Eagles. On the Detroit side, they do face a tougher defense against that Philadelphia Eagles defense, which we still see being very dominant, but there are some very clear starts. You're still going to start Jameer Gibbs.
I mean, he's been on fire. You're going to start David Montgomery. The Philadelphia Eagles are a little bit weaker against the run versus the wide receivers and the tight ends.
You're going to start Amon Ross St. Brown. Even though he is a wide receiver, he is still just that dude. I love him so much.
And I'm going to throw Sam Laporta in here as a start because he's just been such a pivotal part of the offense. He's just kind of a tough guy who kind of breaks tackles and does what he needs to do. I wouldn't look to start Jared Goff this week against a tougher defense.
I think there's guys, even like if you're just looking to kind of fill the position in Aaron Rodgers or Joe Flacco, who I would play over Jared Goff, even a Marcus Mariota, who has the rushing upside of his legs to use there. And then the only other guy to really talk about here would be Jameson Williams. Now we saw him kind of flash a little bit.
I think he could be kind of a boomer buster in this particular matchup. Moving forward, I don't hate him as a start because he's making himself more relevant. What do you think?
[Amanda Black] (59:50 - 1:00:18)
Yeah, so Dan Campbell actually just started taking over the play calling for that offense. And I think part of it came from just like, they weren't using the players the way they needed to use the players. They did commit to using Jameson Williams more frequently.
I still agree that this week would be a very difficult start for him. I don't love him as a play this week. I think there's more favorable upside ride receivers over Jamo this week.
But at least if you held him, if you held through the goose egg of Jameson Williams, as I did, you were happy because he is a playable option at this point.
[Angela Sims] (1:00:19 - 1:00:52)
For sure, for sure. And then against the Philly offense, I'm gonna sit the Detroit Lions defense. I don't really trust them there.
Going into the Philly side, as usual, there are some very obvious starts. You were starting Jalen Hurts. Do not give up on Jalen Hurts.
I think that was a lot of our questions and our comments on social media was, Dart over Hurts or blah, blah, blah over Hurts. You still gotta trust Jalen Hurts. Yes, he's had a little bit of a down game.
Same with AJ Brown. You still gotta trust AJ Brown. He's really been hurting you throughout the weeks.
He breaks up with you. He gets back together. He breaks up with you again.
[Amanda Black] (1:00:52 - 1:00:59)
I have a good question. Yeah. Portland Sutton or AJ Brown?
Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye, aye, aye.
[Angela Sims] (1:00:59 - 1:01:30)
AJ Brown versus... I'd still go AJ Brown. I have more trust in AJ Brown than Portland Sutton.
I think Troy Franklin's taking over that trusty wide receiver role guy for Bo Nix. So I'm gonna go AJ Brown over him pretty confidently. You're gonna start Devontae Smith as well.
You're gonna start Saquon Barkley. You're gonna start Dallas Goddard. There's really not a lot to talk about here.
And you're gonna start the Philadelphia Eagles defense. So it's pretty easy there if you have some Philly guys on your team.
[Amanda Black] (1:01:31 - 1:02:40)
Love it. All right, awesome. Moving on to my final matchup, which is Monday Night Football, baby, which I feel like the Monday nights, the Sunday nights, the Thursday nights, they have been sad football.
So hopefully this isn't sad football because it's not a great defense matchup. So maybe a high point scoring game, which always makes it more fun. We have Dallas versus Las Vegas.
On the Dallas side, you're basically starting everyone. You're starting CeeDee Lamb, Devontae Williams, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, and Dak Prescott himself. They all get locked into your lineup.
Overall, the Vegas defense has not been great. They showed up last week, oddly enough, but still I don't overly rely on that. And the Cowboys' entire offensive unit looks great.
They're operating well together. They're coming off of a bye week. So you're gonna start all of those guys.
The Dallas defense, no. That's the only time I say don't start the defense against the Vegas Raiders. I just don't think you want the, the Dallas defense lets up so many points.
They're not very good. That's not a defensive streaming option I'm interested in this week. The Vegas side of the football, there's two must-starts, Ashton Gente, Brock Bowers.
I know you're gonna take the Ls for Brock Bowers. You're gonna take the punches, bob, weave, get back up, keep putting him in your lineup because he's not a guy you wanna sit because the time you do it, he's gonna have a 38-point game and you're gonna cry yourself to sleep.
[Angela Sims] (1:02:40 - 1:02:47)
That's what we kept seeing too is people were like, women were like, well, if I put him on my bench, I know we'll pop off. It happens to everybody.
[Amanda Black] (1:02:47 - 1:03:46)
It literally happens to everyone. Everyone, yes. Other players here, Geno Smith is a no.
There's two guys that I think are contextually good starts this week. Trey Tucker, I think we're seeing him make his way as a fantastic weekly start at this point. He is the wide receiver one for that offense with the exit of Jacoby Myers.
So I think Trey Tucker is a great start this week and moving forward, specifically because of the defensive matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. I think Tyler Lockett is a sneaky, good start and a great option if you are desperate in the wide receiver room, he's probably gonna make it to free agency in some leagues. And this could be a great pickup plug play and just go for it if you're really desperate and you need some high upside, he's got that high upside for sure.
And then I'm not even thinking about the Raiders defense because again, I don't want any business in something facing the offense of the Dallas Cowboys. So those are all of your week 11 matchups as we cannot believe it are already in week number 11. But for our final segment, your favorite, I hope anyway, sweet, spicy starts of the week and kick us off with your sweet start of the week.
[Angela Sims] (1:03:46 - 1:04:03)
My sweet start of the week is old man Joe himself, Joe Flacco. He is just going to be in such a juicy matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If he does anything like he did the past couple of weeks with the insane amount of old man arm throwing, he is a sweet start for me for sure.
[Amanda Black] (1:04:04 - 1:04:30)
I love it. I agree. He's gonna have a great game.
My sweet start of the week is Jalen Warren, obviously facing the Cincinnati Bengals defense. We have seen a very struggling Steelers offense. I hope that's not the case this week as a Steelers fan myself, but their past game has been, there's been a lot left to the imagination, my friends, but Jalen Warren has been the upside and against a struggling Cincinnati defense, that upside is even greater.
So Jalen Warren is my sweet start of the week. How about just spicy, spicy start of the week?
[Angela Sims] (1:04:30 - 1:04:50)
My spicy start of the week is Trey Tucker. I think he is, like you just said in your last start, he's the number one guy on that offense. He is getting the ball thrown to him.
He is stepping up more. He's becoming more relevant. They have a juicy, juicy matchup against the Dallas defense who has just not been great.
So Trey Tucker is a good start for me this week for sure.
[Amanda Black] (1:04:50 - 1:05:53)
Love it. My spicy start of the week is J.J. McCarthy. I think he's gonna be a great spicy quarterback to throw into your lineup.
I know I've already said it, but I think him over options like golf and love would be guys that I would look to throw into my lineup. That's for sure. He faces the Chicago Bears, whose defensive unit is very similar to the Dallas Cowboys.
They like to let up lots of points. And I think J.J. McCarthy will exploit that and connect with J.J. J.J., his friend, J.J., this week as well, because we saw that connection not happen last week and we hope to see that kind of get and end. Wide receiver divas, they get that shit figured out.
So they're gonna get J.J.'s shit in order to make sure the J.J. J.J. combo hits hard this week. All right, friends, we are wishing you all of the best, the good vibes to win your matchup. If you're on the fringe of making the playoffs, again, we're sending extra good vibes your way.
