[Amanda Black] (0:00 - 0:24)
What is up friends? Welcome back to another episode of Let's Talk Football Sis, fantasy football for the girls, by the girls. We are back baby with episode number nine, moving very quickly into week number five of fantasy football.
I don't know about you, but it's like the time of the year where it's like a fever dream. I'm like, holy shit, this is happening. It's still happening.
And football is going to be, before I know it, it's going to be fucking over.
[Angie Sims] (0:24 - 0:53)
Yes. It's become a part of my routine now. So I just feel like it's just something I do.
Oh, it's almost Thursday. Great, I have something to do. Oh, now it's Sunday.
Great, I have something to do. It is, it's just like a routine that it literally gets pulled out from under you at the end of the season and you literally don't know what to do. Then you start watching obscure sports to make you feel better.
Thank God the Olympics are on. I think the winter Olympics are on. That'll get me through the winter.
It did a couple of years ago, so we're golden.
[Amanda Black] (0:54 - 1:34)
We're big hockey fans in this household. So hockey starts in like two weeks. So we're getting excited because then we'll have hockey and we'll have football.
It'll be epic. But no, it's like, this is my favorite time of the year because I was telling one of my friends that like, okay, I have plans every Thursday night, Thursday night football, right? We've got Sunday, we've got Saturday, we've got college.
So we can take our whole day up with college football, great matchups. Sunday, obviously full Sunday, raw day. Monday night football.
And we got Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night. So that adds a little, come on. It's like my fucking favorite thing in the entire world.
So now I have plans every single night of the week, except Wednesday nights. And that's just my off night, which is lovely. I love it.
There you go.
[Angie Sims] (1:35 - 1:37)
I'm sure there's something on you can find. I mean, something.
[Amanda Black] (1:37 - 1:40)
Oh, absolutely. You can start a TV show, something, right?
[Angie Sims] (1:40 - 1:43)
Here, I have a great idea. You read a book.
[Amanda Black] (1:44 - 2:20)
Oh, well, I listen to my books. I don't read. Oh, you do.
You know, me and my book listening realm cheats my ass. Get out of here with that bullshit. All right, well, a little recap of the week.
I don't know about you, but I went three and O in all of my fantasy football leagues. I was real, there was one, my last game. It was, I play in a league with my husband and some of his friends.
So like, I've been in the championship every single year. I haven't won in that league yet, but I've been in the championship game every year. This is my year to win the damn championship just so I can have full bragging rights that, sorry, sorry, husband.
I know fantasy football better than you. Go fuck yourself. Bragging rights, right?
Yes.
[Angie Sims] (2:22 - 2:38)
One of my leagues was great. The other league, I think most I can relate, people can relate that like, I just made errors that I don't, now thinking back, I think, why the hell did I do that?
[Amanda Black] (2:38 - 2:41)
You did, I was looking at your lineup. I was like, who did you start?
[Angie Sims] (2:41 - 2:49)
I'm looking now, because I have to know. I'll tell you, because I know exactly what you're going to go into. So I was like, you know what?
I'm going to give Kareem Hunt a try here.
[Amanda Black] (2:49 - 2:53)
No, that's who it was. I was like, why the fuck did she start Kareem Hunt?
[Angie Sims] (2:53 - 2:57)
I should have had Omarion Hampton in my running back position.
[Amanda Black] (2:57 - 2:58)
Yes, yes.
[Angie Sims] (2:58 - 3:14)
And then I should have taken, but I had in my flex from the previous week because I didn't know what Brock Bowers was doing. It was really bizarre. I didn't switch it out.
This is my first year doing two leagues. So I'm getting all messed up in my head. Then James Connor went out.
Thanks, James, really screwed me there.
[Amanda Black] (3:15 - 3:22)
Yeah. You really didn't have a great upside. Oh, no, you could have flexed another one of your receivers.
Yeah, for sure. That was what I should have done.
[Angie Sims] (3:22 - 3:40)
If I would have flexed Shakir, I would have won. And I would have been dancing on the top of my toes today. But I don't know, that doesn't make any sense.
But it's okay. It's okay. I still had a good play on the other one.
Oh, and then another dumb thing that I did. And you know what? Don't listen to your husbands.
Don't do it.
[Amanda Black] (3:40 - 3:42)
Cause I listen. Oh, never. What'd you do?
What advice?
[Angie Sims] (3:43 - 4:00)
Live, in-person advice. I said, what should I do? Should I take Baker out of the one league and put Gino Smith in?
Yeah, do it, Ange, do it. That's a great idea. Gino's great inside.
Is he playing inside? Yeah, play him. How'd that work out?
It ended poorly.
[Amanda Black] (4:01 - 4:07)
You know what, Gino, I was hot on Gino this week, so I don't blame him. But I would have won Baker over Gino because Baker's just such a badass.
[Angie Sims] (4:07 - 4:20)
I know. I was just worried about the Philly defense, which, okay. I was worried about the dice up a little bit there.
But he is, he's a beast. I'm not gonna question him. I'm sorry, Baker.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
[Amanda Black] (4:20 - 4:47)
I know, I know. But that is a good tip for all you ladies, too, is just to remember that the players who play earliest should be in their positional spots. That way, then, your players who are playing later, you'll throw them in flex.
So let's take this past week of Jalen Warren, and he was ruled out pretty last minute. So sorry if you're on the West Coast, by the way, because that really screwed you, because they did not let you know till late. And that was 6.30 a.m. for y'all. We're Eastern Standard, 9.30. Jesus, my gosh.
[Angie Sims] (4:47 - 4:50)
That was even pushing it with that freaking game.
[Amanda Black] (4:50 - 5:30)
I mean, it was like, what are you doing? Didn't expect that. Didn't see that coming for sure.
I was like on a walk, and I was like stopped. I was like, oh, shit. Okay, cool.
Gotta get, I have him. So I was like, gotta get him out of my lineup. But that's a good thing to keep in mind, because if you have him in their actual spots, you can somehow run him back.
And then that way, you can always put someone else in that other position if like, you know, you run in the conundrum of and, where you have Kareem Hunt in his position, and then you can't change that out, and you're screwed. Right? You wanna be able to have that flexibility for those flex guys.
But I feel you. I'm sitting pretty in our girls' league, like our more serious girls' league. I'm three and one, or three and one?
Yeah, I'm three and one, baby. I'm feeling good. I'm feeling good so far.
I love it. I love it.
[Angie Sims] (5:30 - 5:32)
All right, all right. Well, just.
[Amanda Black] (5:32 - 6:09)
Oh, yeah. Okay. Anywho, other than that, you know, Sunday game, one of our friends, we had people over to our house last week.
So he hosted this week. He's a fellow Steelers fan. And he has this like dope outside setup.
I'll put, if you're watching on YouTube, I'll put a video that I took because it was like epic to watch a Sunday football game. And I'm gonna put my Sunday game day fit because I looked freaking amazing. I looked so damn cute.
A little Steelers sweater. I put a little white golf skirt on. I put my little high dad socks on.
And then, you're gonna hate it, but I put my little 90s dad shoes on.
[Angie Sims] (6:09 - 6:09)
Yeah.
[Amanda Black] (6:09 - 6:15)
I was feeling myself, baby. So then we came back and rotted on the couch and watched Sunday football all day, which it was epic, right?
[Angie Sims] (6:16 - 7:12)
Good times. Yeah, my Sunday looked a little different. So my husband picks up kind of side jobs and does this selling of beef jerky.
It's very odd, but it's delicious beef jerky. It is really good beef jerky. So try it.
It's amazing. But we went to a show and sold there and I went and helped them. I mean, we made good money.
I mean, teacher probs, you know, poor teacher probs. So got to pick up what we can. But football looked a little bit different, but we got to sell at this Barberton Mum Festival.
I love fall and I love mums. So there's a picture there too of kind of what I got to see. It was really, really cool.
Still watched football, just in a different environment, in a trailer selling beef jerky while I was nomming on some beef jerky. So it was kind of like my perfect, perfect little world right there. I got to eat good food.
I got to watch football. I got to look at mums. I got to spend time with my husband.
[Amanda Black] (7:12 - 7:42)
Boom, win, win, win, win, win. I love it. I love it.
Awesome. Well, we're going to dive into our typical flow here. So we're going to go over our personal plays of the weeks.
We're going to talk vet of the week, rookie of the week. We're going to go over a just round week four roundup. We're going to get into the injury reports, some big name injuries this week.
So we're going to get into the injury report. And then of course, we're going to go through set start options for every single matchup. We also have some bye weeks this week, and we'll talk a little bit about that as well.
So let's dive into play of the week. Andrew, what was your play of the week from week four of football?
[Angie Sims] (7:42 - 8:18)
My play of the week. I think I said it last week when there was a punt return. Oh, I love a big man tutty.
Love a big man play. Now this wasn't a tutty, but Dexter Lawrence returned an interception that was basically tipped to himself from Justin Herbert, right? He ran 37 yards.
His big man butt ran 37 yards, almost made the tutty. You seen Justin Herbert try to tackle him, was like he just grabbed a tree and just fell off of the tree. It was great.
I mean, he took him down. I mean, he fell before the end zone, but that was my favorite play of the week. What was yours?
[Amanda Black] (8:18 - 8:55)
I love it. I love it. Well, mine was a punt return.
Khalif Raymond had a 65 yard punt return from the Lions. He took it to the house. He looked great.
And then I'm a lover girl at heart, okay? He went over into the stands, walked up to his wife, gave her a little smooch. It was the cutest shit in the world.
And I love that so much. I was like, oh my God, I love it. That was my play of the week.
And the defense, the extra, the special teams, I mean, they've just been on fire. That dynamic punt return has just been so fun to watch. I'm glad they made the changes that they did because it has just given you a reason to actually want to watch a punt now, right?
You're like, what could happen? It's great.
[Angie Sims] (8:56 - 9:38)
Yeah, it keeps you on your toes. You're not kind of just like nodding off at that point in the game, but you're excited for the punts. You're excited for those punt returns.
Absolutely. All right, vet of the week. Who gets your honorary vet of the week title, Ange?
My vet of the week is Dak Prescott. This was the version of Dak Prescott that we all wanted to see. The best version of him showed up on Sunday night.
319 yards, four touchdowns, one of them being a rushing touchdown. He completed 77.5% of his passes, no interceptions. And we also got to see him really connect amazingly with George Pickens, which we were all hoping to see.
It happened. We saw George Pickens in his full glory. So Dak is my vet of the week this week.
Who's your vet of the week? I love it.
[Amanda Black] (9:38 - 10:36)
Little Kenneth Gainwell, baby. When Jalen Warriors ruled out last minute, I was like, oh my gosh. Okay, we're gonna have to watch Kenneth Gainwell in the backfield.
And he hasn't looked bad this year thus far, but he really said, I'm gonna show this team what I'm made of, and really made himself a clear backup running back here. And he's gonna be used in the offense consistently because of how well he did. He scored 31.4 PPR fantasy points, which is just a PPR freaking machine. So if you're in a full PPR league, good on you if you ended up pivoting to Gainwell. It was a great pivot option if you needed something very desperate. He was typically on people's free agency.
He wasn't even rostered in most leagues. So he just did great. And we really got to see the fact that maybe the Vikings defense isn't that good.
Maybe the Bengals offense was just indeed that bad because Gainwell ran all over their asses. And it was quite fun to see. So as a Steelers fan, I was very happy about Kenneth Gainwell this week.
How about your rookie of the week, Ange? Rookie of the week is Woody Marks.
[Angie Sims] (10:36 - 11:12)
So Woody Marks is in this situation where he didn't take over because of an injury. We've seen some rookies step in because of injury. He just stepped in because he's better, right?
And I feel bad because I do love Nick Chubb. I think he has a great aura about him, like the kids say, aura. Yeah, aura.
But he's only rostered in 33% of leagues. So when this comes out on Thursday, we have already talked about our waiver wires. If you are lucky enough to have gotten him and he was available, but you probably, if you've been a diehard listener, you listened to us in the beginning of the season.
[Amanda Black] (11:12 - 11:12)
We said it last week.
[Angie Sims] (11:12 - 11:25)
Yes, we told you to grab Woody Marks because he had things going on for him. He also has that upside as a pass catcher. He's a great dude.
So rookie of the week, Woody Marks.
[Amanda Black] (11:25 - 11:49)
I love it. My rookie of the week is Ashton Gente. He was like a cake, okay?
You just had to let him bake. And he baked and now he's good. I always say, if you put a cake in the oven at 450 degrees and try to shorten the time, that shit's not gonna be baked.
It's gonna be burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. That is Ashton Gente. We let him bake at 350 for a long enough period of time.
And homie is a full ass cake now.
[Angie Sims] (11:49 - 11:49)
And he is.
[Amanda Black] (11:50 - 12:20)
He's delicious. The move was if you, for some reason, could predict the future and traded for him last week, that was the vibe. Because if you weren't able to acquire it, he's not going anywhere.
No one's trading Ashton Gente at this point because he just really showed us that he is indeed that dude. We saw he had a lot of juice in him. He just needed to finally get it going.
He's a freaking rookie. Give the man a break. He got it going.
We love to see it. Good on you, Ashton Gente. So let's go ahead and move on to week two deep dive.
We're just gonna go through week two. Week two. It's week four, Amanda.
[Angie Sims] (12:20 - 12:21)
It's week four.
[Amanda Black] (12:21 - 13:43)
Let's move on to a- He just wants it so badly to be week two again. I wanna go back in time. I wanna go back in time.
What can I say? But let's move on to the week four takeaways. Just some highlights here.
So quarterback room highlights, like Ange said. Dak Prescott, my goodness, he looked wonderful. Patty Mahomes, four passing touchdowns.
My goodness, he looked great in week four as well. Matt Stafford scoring 27 points in PPR. He's not heavily rostered.
So he's great. Showing himself as a great streaming. I'm not gonna roster Matt Stafford and start him every week, but definitely showing himself as someone you can trust as a streaming quarterback option when your guy's on by or hurt.
Jordan Love, again, looked great. That Cowboys Packers matchup, we knew it was gonna be good, but we really thought it was gonna be good for other reasons. It was just a brawl.
And I loved to freaking see it. From the running back room, obviously we already talked about Ashton Gente had a great week. Josh Jacobs, Kenneth Gainwell, Woody Marks, all had breakout appearances in week number four.
From the wide receiver room, badass Puka Nikua. I mean, that man, the man that you are, Puka, he looked great. And continues just to be a force of nature.
George Pickens, like we said, really came in. And I was fully nervous that, was George Pickens ever gonna be able to be a true wide receiver one? Or were they never gonna be able to fully rely on him?
But I think they could rely on him. And then Ange, I'll go ahead and let you do the next wide receiver here.
[Angie Sims] (13:44 - 14:09)
Oh, I would love to. Romeo Dobbs with the Green Bay Packers. He was my bicep pick of the week last week.
Every time he did something in that Monday night game, or Sunday night game, Sunday night game, I literally was like, oh my God, oh my God. I even texted Amanda at one point, like my spicy picks cooking, cooking. So he's definitely someone who should be on your radar if it wasn't already on your radar.
[Amanda Black] (14:10 - 14:21)
And then- Absolutely, and then Amin Rah St. Brown. Yeah. Amin Rah just, he is Amin Rah reliable.
Amin Rah liable, I love it. Amin reliable.
[Angie Sims] (14:21 - 14:31)
Tight end- I'm a little nervous about him, right? Because he started off so slow, but that was a trend for him last year. He's all punking us.
He's like, hey, I'm gonna punk you in the first week, I know.
[Amanda Black] (14:31 - 15:46)
We love him, we love him. Tight end wise, obviously Dallas Goddard's looking great. Definitely a consistent target for the Eagles on the offense.
Not many other consistent targets, but Dallas Goddard looks good. Tyler Warren, love to see it. Kyle Pitts, Pitty Pitts had a great week this week.
Pitty Pitts, get it boy. Hate him. And then Fergie, Fergie was Ferguson.
Well, I call him Fergie for short, but Ferguson was another great option. The Dallas offense, just all those guys performed. Defenses, the Lions, man, they beat it up.
They looked great in week number four. The Jags ended up having 18 points, which looked good. Not gonna be as consistent streaming defense.
Let's just keep that in mind. The Lions might be though. The Eagles, my God, did they look good.
Anytime you have a player going up against the Eagles, you're gonna be a little bit nervous. We're gonna talk about that this week. And the Texans, again, Texans were a streaming quarter, streaming defense of the week I talked about on social media.
So maybe you actually saw that, did that good on you because they had 14 points, which looks great in week number four as well. Honorable mention, Jackson, Jackson, Jackson, Jart. Jackson Jart looked great in his week one performance.
I was really happy with how he came out and showed up and I was happy to see him step in as a rookie and have a really, really great week. And then obviously we'll go over some letdowns and dive into some highlights of the letdowns here.
[Angie Sims] (15:47 - 16:33)
Quarterback letdowns were definitely Justin Herbert, Caleb Williams coming off that week three game into week four. We were hoping for big things. He didn't do God awful.
He didn't do Jake Browning awful. But, and then Geno Smith, who I believed in, we believed in the hype. We were telling you, but Geno Smith had a down week.
Those interceptions are really getting him. Running backs, we hate to hear it, but Derrick Henry, another down week for Derrick Henry. Ramondre Stevenson, come on, man.
Put him away. Put him on the bench. I'm there with you.
Sharing time with Travion. We don't want to see that. Nick Chubb, poor Nick Chubb, just getting taken over by Woody Marks there.
Running back, wide receivers, Amanda's little lad. Little lad.
[Amanda Black] (16:33 - 16:34)
Little lad.
[Angie Sims] (16:34 - 16:38)
Just really letting everybody down here. You probably got him pretty high up in the draft too.
[Amanda Black] (16:38 - 16:46)
And he's letting it down. He's probably going to be one of the biggest wide receiver disappointments. Yeah, thus far anyways.
Maybe that takes a turn, but who knows?
[Angie Sims] (16:46 - 17:09)
I mean, we are only going into week five, so we don't know. But, and then T. Higgins and Jamar Chase were also womp womps for the week.
We've seen them before, but we'll see what happens. That offense is booty hole. And then tight ends, TJ Hawkinson, Brock Bowers, which is very sad for me.
And then DJ, David Njoku also let down in the tight end position for week number four.
[Amanda Black] (17:09 - 17:30)
Absolutely. All right, some season ending injuries. Unfortunately, Malik Nabors, we saw go down with an ACL tear and he looked just in so much pain.
I felt so bad for him. So he is out for the season. And listen, I love a good sports injury.
Unfortunately, it's a weird thing of mine, but Tyreke's Hill actively facing the wrong leg, wrong D-leg.
[Angie Sims] (17:31 - 17:36)
I like, I looked it up again. I was like, I gotta walk. Cause I didn't really like catch it in real time.
[Amanda Black] (17:36 - 17:38)
Oh, we were winded. I had to see it. I was like, I should have done that.
[Angie Sims] (17:39 - 18:10)
But I like, I think maybe I went to the therm. I took the dog out. There was something.
And then I came back and I'm like, why is he on that cart? And my husband's like, oh, he's done. He's probably done forever.
He's probably done forever. We're not gonna, we joked. I was like, I hope he got enough money to pay all the child support.
And we said, that's what we both said. Look how happy that man is. That guy's going off.
I'm good. See you guys. All those trade rumors are gone.
Yeah, but I didn't watch it. There were a lot of videos on YouTube that you couldn't watch.
[Amanda Black] (18:11 - 18:12)
Oh yeah, they were laughing.
[Angie Sims] (18:12 - 18:15)
And then I found it and I gagged a little in my mouth.
[Amanda Black] (18:15 - 18:27)
So it was bad. Listen, I honestly, like, I don't know why like a sports injury, it's a weird thing. But like, that was gross.
My husband was like, oh no, oh no, oh no. It's the other way. It's the other way.
I was like, oh no.
[Angie Sims] (18:27 - 18:30)
That's one of those ones like you can't not like, I gotta see it.
[Amanda Black] (18:30 - 20:28)
You have to know. You have to know. Okay.
All right, some other multi-week injuries just to be aware of. Lamar Jackson, they did just come out and say he's likely going to be out for week number five. Ladies, plan accordingly.
Don't freak out, but plan accordingly. We'll talk about how to do that in this episode. CeeDee Lamb, just keep your eye on him.
We don't know when he's coming back. So is he going to come back week five? I don't know.
Just keep your eye on him there. Same thing with Mike Evans. Terry McLaurin is slated to come back in week five.
However, he might not. Quad injury, a little worried about him coming back a little bit too early. So keep your eye on him there.
Jalen Warren, again, week five by for them. So he's not going to be there this week, but just keep an eye on him moving forward. Ricky Pearsall faced a knee injury in week four that he was dealing with previously.
They have Thursday night game this week. I'm going to predict that he's probably not going to end up playing, or they're not going to scheme around him. So we'll talk about that later.
Juwan Jennings, rib injury. He's potentially out, but I think he might end up playing week five. Braylon Allen is officially on IR from the Jets.
There was somebody else, and it came to mind when I was, oh, Jaden Daniels was out, but likely is slated to come back this week. So just keep that in mind as well. All right, well, let's go ahead, and we're going to officially move into week five, sit start options on every single side of the football, but housekeeping here to keep in mind, bi-weeks for the week.
We have four, four bi-weeks. Atlanta Falcons, done, not playing this week. Chicago Bears, not playing.
Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers. So this is going to be the first week where you are dealing with having to play some players who maybe you typically wouldn't play because guys are on a bi-week. If you are interested in learning more about that or confused about that or concerned about that, we're going to cover a ton of that inside of our Patreon this week.
So if you're not already a member of our Patreon, you can join that below. It is patreon.com backslash Let's Talk Football Sis, where we're going to get into more of the semantics behind how this impacts your roster, who to play, who to pick up, all of that kind of good information. So let's move on to week five, sit start options for each side of the football.
I'm going to kick this one off with our, well, yeah, let's go ahead and kick it off with our, no, you kick it off first. Go with our Thursday night game.
[Angie Sims] (20:28 - 22:34)
All right, so starting off with our week number five, first game of the week, Thursday night, 49ers versus the Rams. On the Niners side, I'm going to start with Brock Purdy. He's definitely a sit or a start type of player for this week.
So he's not a bad player. He's on the backend of that quarterback one conversation for sure, but there's definitely guys that I would start over him just because the Rams defense is pretty legit. They're no joke, right?
So guys like, let's say Geno Smith and I don't even know, Cam Ward, let's say you're starting him over them, right? And then let's think about either Trevor Lawrence, probably Purdy over Trevor Lawrence, but if you have Dak Prescott, you're going Dak Prescott. I mean, from that massive week number four and what he's shown you so far, you got to stick with him.
And then moving into the wide receivers, we kind of already mentioned the Ricky Pearsall, Jawan Jennings kind of situations, the injuries, really make sure you're monitoring. I have a feeling and I kind of agree with Amanda that because there's such a short turnaround from when they played to Thursday night, Ricky Pearsall's probably going to be out and the poor 49ers just keep losing them. Like just, they can't catch a break here, right?
So if Pearsall's out, Jennings is definitely a must start. You got to be looking at Jennings. Keep an eye on Jennings though.
I think like, I agree with Amanda that he's going to be in. He's worth a start. He had five targets, four catches, 46 yards in week number four.
So nothing crazy, but that volume is encouraging if you need a wide receiver. Got to start Christian McCaffrey, really no conversation there. He is the go-to guy there.
And then one other guy I want to kind of mention is Jake Tongus. And yes, that is a real name. I had to look up how to say it so I wouldn't say tongues or something.
There's a lot of injuries at receiver, right? So he could be a very viable streaming tight end for week number five. We're still waiting on George Kittle to come back.
That date is approaching. I know Amanda's like, come on, come on, right? But if you have someone like, you know, maybe David Njoku, who's been a little underwhelming, maybe you stream a quarterback or I'm sorry, stream a tight end like Tongus.
Tongs, I don't know how to say it now. Now I'm second guessing it. It's Tong.
[Amanda Black] (22:35 - 22:36)
Tongus.
[Angie Sims] (22:36 - 22:36)
Tongus?
[Amanda Black] (22:37 - 22:37)
It's Tongus.
[Angie Sims] (22:38 - 22:40)
Tongs. Tongus?
[Amanda Black] (22:40 - 22:41)
Or was it Tongus?
[Angie Sims] (22:41 - 24:46)
That sounds so wrong. I know, there's a lot of, wait, there's another name in here that I mentioned later that I'm like, is that a real name? So it could be a fun pivot.
So keep him in mind. And then the 49ers defense, just to kind of touch on them, they're usually an automatic start, but they're not really the same. Nick Bosa is out for the rest of the year.
That really affects their pass rush. It's not really the same. Really wouldn't say they are something to think about in week number five.
And then on the Rams side, we got Matthew Stafford. You know, he had a really great week number four. I would still kind of probably sit him as a sit, right?
But he could also be one of those sit start type of quarterbacks, right? If you need a streaming quarterback, your quarterback's on a bye week, just like I said with Brock Purdy, he had 375 yards, three touchdowns last week, 27 fantasy points. So that's really, really good.
But he's old school, right? He stands in the pocket. He's not a rushing quarterback.
That doesn't give you a lot of upside there. If you start him, you're kind of rolling the dice, but it's something that you might need to do for week number five. And then wide receivers, I really don't even have to say anything about Puka Nakua.
He is the clear number one, number one wide receiver. He's the guy. And then Devontae Adams, I think is another start.
He had 88 yards and a touchdown last week. Yes, he had fewer targets, but he's very efficient. At the running back position, Kyron Williams is a little bit tougher.
We've kind of seen him, I don't know, back and forth with touches, but I think he's still a start. He had 77 rushing yards last week, no touchdowns, but that changes the game when there's a touchdown, right? Yes, just 10 fantasy points, but I think he has the ability to make big plays.
Now, when I'm thinking about who to start over him, I might go maybe Kenneth Walker over Kyron Williams, James Cook, obviously, over Kyron Williams, Devon Achan over Kyron Williams, right? So I'm playing them over Kyron, but there's definitely opportunity if you have a Kyron Williams on your team. And then we're not even gonna really talk about the tight end position.
Tyler Higbee really didn't do much. He's not really a difference maker at the tight end. And like I already mentioned, defense, Rams is a definite streaming option for week number five.
[Amanda Black] (24:47 - 29:18)
The only other guy to talk about there is Blake Coram. He is obviously in a 65-35 split with Kyron Williams, but he's someone who, you know, I'm not eager to start by any means if you were like absolutely freaking desperate, but I'm not gonna look his way at this point. I would go like, you know, obviously Kenneth Gainwell's not playing this week, but like I would look someone like a Kenneth Gainwell over him in the future, cause he's just gonna get a little bit more consistency.
But that is the only other person that is missing, but I wouldn't play a Blake Coram this week. Yeah. All right.
Moving on to our next game. This is again, an early morning game, 9.30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time at Minnesota Vikings versus the Cleveland Browns. So we're gonna fire through some of this as well.
Carson Wentz is a quarterback that should not even be rostered. So we don't even need to have this conversation. No, no, no.
Justin Jefferson, easy. Smash the start button every single week. Don't even think about it.
Now, when we talked to Jordan Addison, this was his first week back. He had eight targets and four receptions. So not a bad entry back into the NFL after his suspension, after he was penalized.
However, here's what I need you to keep in mind is Addison's not an auto start. He's kind of that like sit start, risky start option because he's facing the Cleveland Browns dominating defense. They are great.
He's going to struggle. And I think this is someone who you could consider sitting down. So like if I'm looking at Jordan Addison or Jameson Williams, I'm going to go Jameson Williams over Jordan Addison.
If I go Jordan Addison versus Cam Scataboo, no question, Cam Scataboo gets a start over Jordan Addison. I think there's a valid place for you starting Addison. I would start Addison over Jerry Judy, who they're playing against, right?
So there's a place to start a Jordan Addison, but he might get sat down this week specifically due to the matchup. Same thing when I'm looking at Jordan Mason. I think most of you are going to have to give him the start because I don't know if your roster is going to be able to tolerate putting him on your bench and you don't want to start someone like a Blake Corum over a Mason because Mason is getting all of the work.
He's being fed and he's being fed well. So you want to think about that, right? He's going to have far more opportunities, but we just watched the Cleveland Browns shut down the run defense on Gibbs and Montee.
And so just keep that in mind when you're talking about him this week, lower your expectations. So I would lean like Javante Williams. I would lean Montee all over Mason.
If you're making that decision, Javante Williams, Montgomery go over Mason for sure. Cam, Trey Benson, all of them go over Jordan Mason for me this week. If for some reason you have a deep running back room and you can make that decision.
Other than that on the Minnesota side, TJ Hawkinson, I think there's other favorable options. I would sit him this week. I wouldn't worry about that.
And then I would absolutely start the Minnesota Vikings defense against Cleveland. I know they didn't do as good as they did against the Bengals, but the Cleveland, you're for sure going to get at least one interception, okay, from Joe Flacco. So bet on that.
And I would definitely throw them in as a start this week for defense. Moving over to Cleveland, there's not a ton of players I'm willing to start. Joe Flacco should not be rostered and you're not starting him.
Even if you have him, drop him. Don't do all that shit. Wide receiver, Jerry Judy is so risky.
Jerry Judy needs to catch the motherfucking football. Okay, he's getting the targets. He had nine targets, only three receptions on the week, 48 yards, 7.8 fantasy points. He's been a freaking disappointment. So if I'm looking at sits here, like I'm going to sit him down. I'm going to start Jacoby Myers over him.
I'd start Jameson Williams over him. I'd start Waddle over him. Jerry Judy is fine if you're desperate and you really need a guy.
Sure, you can throw him in. But again, Addison over Jerry Judy as something to keep in mind. Tillman hurt again and he is out.
A guy that I want you to keep on your radar, we're talking about this in waivers. So this is after you've already listened to waivers, but Isaiah Bond, he was in the snap count for 55% of the time. He's likely going to take over the role of Cedric Tillman.
So this is a guy that if for some reason you are listening to this, he's on your free agency right now. I might consider rostering him. If you can, if you don't have to drop anyone serious for it and you can stash him on your bench, he might be a great breakout talent.
He is a rookie. I have high hopes for him. So keep him on your radar there as well.
Immediate start in the running back room, Quinton Judkins. He is the only bright side of a very shitty Cleveland team. So you go ahead and throw him in.
You can drop Ford. You can drop Samson. They are a moot point.
Don't even worry about him anymore. I would not waste my time on Fanon or Joku at this point. We don't know what's happening.
And they're just, it's too much of a split room for you to be worried about. And again, it's too much of an unpredictable quarterback situation. And then defense, Abso-freaking-lutely smash that start button, specifically if Carson Wentz is still playing, which I do believe he's going to play in week five over JJ.
So absolutely with Carson Wentz at the head as well.
[Angie Sims] (29:18 - 31:09)
Yeah. Great. And then moving into our next little matchup here, Raiders versus the Colts.
So Gino Smith let us down. I'm saying he's a sit for me this week. I think inconsistency really, the inconsistency in the offense is very, very bad for the Raiders, right?
I think it really lives and dies by how Gino's playing. When he's bad, they run the ball. We saw that last week.
We saw Gente really shine because of that, right? I think Jacoby Myers at the wide receiver is still a start though. So even though Gino Smith is rough, he has to have the start.
Yeah, he only had 30 yards, 70 fantasy points last week. But if Gino has a decent game, Myers benefits. So something to keep in mind.
And Gino isn't a terrible quarterback. I mean, he's there, right? I mean, you gotta be good to be in the fricking NFL.
So come on. But then wide receiver, Trey Tucker. I know there was a lot of hype about Trey Tucker.
We were excited about Trey Tucker. We had questions about Trey Tucker. Do we put him in?
Do we start him? Do I start him over this guy? Usage is too low.
Sit him, really nothing really to do there. And then Ash and Gente, kind of the same smash button start. You gotta start him.
He's the guy. Brock Bowers, yes, he's been a little bit for everybody, right? Me, myself included, but he's a start, right?
We drafted him to be the guy, the tight end. I think once he's 100% healthy, he's still kind of battling that knee injury, right? He's gonna get back.
Yes, Gino's inconsistency makes it worse. But again, Gino plays better. Brock Bowers benefits, just like Jacoby Myers.
Defense, really nothing to talk about. Sit the Raiders' defense, nothing great there. And then on the Indianapolis cold sides, oh boy, Daniel Jones.
He's still cooking, but he kind of showed us that he's human in week number four, right? He's like, oh, look, but he's not terrible, right? Last week, 260.
[Amanda Black] (31:09 - 31:41)
Yeah. If Mitchell wouldn't have dropped that ball running into the end zone. Like, when do we have to learn?
You don't celebrate before your two feet are firmly planted in the end zone. But if he wouldn't have dropped that ball, I think that was a deep pass. We all would have been changing our tunes about Danny Dimes.
Like, we can give him all we want, but like Anne said, he's fucking human. And that was not on him. Like, there were another Jonathan Taylor touchdown, again, because Mitchell had a holding.
Like, there was a lot of errors there that prevented him from succeeding at the level he could have succeeded this week.
[Angie Sims] (31:42 - 32:58)
So don't forget about Daniel Jones, right? You starved him this week, baby. Yes, still a solid QB2 streaming option if you need one, if he's still kind of available there for you in your leagues.
In wide receivers, got to start Michael Pittman. He usually should be locked in your lineup. 10 targets, caught five, 41 yards, scored a tutty, 15 fantasy points.
He's a clear go. Joss Downs is kind of a different option here. I think he's maybe a deep flex only player for me.
I would sit him. I do have him on my roster. I have not put him in my lineup quite yet.
He had four catches for 42 yards. Not terrible, but he's not starter level, right? If you're desperate in a deep league, you can flex him.
Otherwise, I would sit him. Kind of already talked about the womp-womp of Donnie Mitchell issue situation. Moving into running back, Jonathan Taylor is a must-start.
He is the guy for them at the running back. And Tyler Warren in tight end, also a must-start. Six targets, 70 receiving yards, and a touchdown.
He's really emerging as one of those top tight ends that I think people saw coming, but we weren't talking about him, right? He's a rookie. We don't know how he's gonna perform.
I think the Colts defense is a sneaky good start this week. They forced turnovers. Gino's been throwing picks.
I think it is a dream for the Colts defense.
[Amanda Black] (32:59 - 33:45)
Couldn't agree more. I love him as an option this week, for sure. All right, moving on to our next matchup.
Over here, we have the New York Giants versus the New Orleans Saints. So the Giants, obviously, we saw Jackson Dart take over as quarterback. He's got a favorable matchup this week, so this is good for him.
Also, we love a quarterback that has running potential. So typically, we're going to favor those guys over someone like a Matthew Stafford or even a Jared Goff, who's a true pocket passer, because they have more potential upside. Guys like Stafford and Goff are really dependent on throwing touchdowns, and if they get the run game going, you're gonna be let down by those quarterbacks, where when we talk about Jackson Dart, he has the potential for being part of the run game, for getting into the end zone.
So definitely a good, yeah.
[Angie Sims] (33:45 - 34:08)
Does he look like he's going to break? To break? Like, are you scared of him doing those things as a rookie?
You're not scared of him? Absolutely not, zero percent. Because I got a little scared.
I got a little scared. I got a little, I used a little too big for his britches, and he's gonna run, and we're gonna see an injury. But who knows?
I don't know. He looks, he has swag. He's got the swag.
[Amanda Black] (34:09 - 35:28)
He's throwing some darts. I like him, I like him. So no, I think he said, no, just keep in mind that they are going to limit how many passes he gets, how many passes he makes every week.
They're going to utilize a lot of their run game to limit how much he passes the ball, because they also are making sure they don't get their rookie hurt, right? So they are also keeping that in mind when they're playing him. But he's a good quarterback, that if you are desperate for a second quarterback, you need to roster someone, your quarterback got hurt, you can stream Jackson Dart.
I'm not worried about that. Not someone who I'm gonna like automatically say, start every single week, but he's a good option to look at. All right, with Malik Naber's injury, Wandale Robinson does now move up into the passing game.
However, I'm still going to like, just pause a little bit before I go all in on Wandale being a start every single week. I think he's a good streaming start this week. You can go ahead and throw him into your lineup.
But we also wanna see a little bit more time of how Jackson Dart is gonna connect with him, what they're going to scheme up with Jackson Dart as the quarterback. So just something to like, keep in mind. Same thing with Darius Slayton.
He's an absolute 100% week five set. But just someone to like, start to keep your eye on to see how they evolve this offense with Malik Naber's being out. So Wandale, you can start, and Darius Slayton, he shouldn't be rostered, but if he is rostered for some reason, sit him down.
Cam Scadaboo isn't- We gotta talk one second, cause I added a note in your notes. Did you see it? Oh, it's an irrelevant note.
Yeah, it's an irrelevant note.
[Angie Sims] (35:28 - 35:30)
It's hilarious though, come on.
[Amanda Black] (35:30 - 35:31)
No, it is not.
[Angie Sims] (35:31 - 35:37)
He's not gonna do anything. Lil Jordan could make his comeback. Lil Jordan Humphries could make his comeback.
[Amanda Black] (35:37 - 35:46)
That's his full last name for the record, Lil Jordan is his official first name. He played for the Denver Broncos last year, and me and Ange just freaking cackle laughed at his name often.
[Angie Sims] (35:47 - 35:48)
He played for the team.
[Amanda Black] (35:49 - 37:14)
So who knows? I get it, I get it, I get it. Anyways, Cam Scadaboo from the running back room.
Yes, 100%. This is also a really good matchup for him. The defense is weak against the run.
They're gonna utilize Cam more. He's also just looked like a bowling ball badass. So I love it.
Yes. Tight end, Theo Johnson. He had five targets, three receptions, 17 yards, one touchdown, 10 fantasy points.
For a tight end, you never wanna get blinded by a high scoring point because of a touchdown, because they're not guaranteed to get touchdowns. However, I do like this play because I have a feeling they're going to be utilizing that tight end more now again with the exit of Malik Nabors. So I actually think this is a pretty solid start.
It'd be super risky though. But I like the upside of a Theo Johnson over the potential booty hole week of a Fanon or a Njoku. So if you're dealing with those guys as your tight end, fuck it, send the flyer on Theo Johnson.
I'm not gonna start Theo Johnson over like Bretton Strange. I'm not gonna start him over a guy like Zach Ertz. But if I'm like desperate in my quarterback room, sure, maybe take a flyer on it.
And then looking at the Giants defense, again, I'm looking, not someone I'm excited about in week number five coming up against the Saints who did do a good job putting up a fight against the Bills. Moving on, Spencer Rattler should not be rostered, not a starting option. Chris Olave is a start.
His points would have looked a little bit different if he wouldn't have accidentally ended up throwing that interception on the pass from Olave.
[Angie Sims] (37:14 - 37:23)
I was looking up stats. It was so good. Yes, I looked up stats and I went, what, wait, one interception?
What does that mean? And I was like, wait, you're right, you're right.
[Amanda Black] (37:23 - 39:32)
Yeah, but again, he looked good. Three, six targets, three receptions, 20 yards, one touchdown, only 10 fantasy points. The touchdown did save him.
And it was a huge bummer that he was the one who got charged for that interception. It wasn't his fault. Why did they have an Olave throw Spencer Rattler the ball?
And- They should penalize the offensive coach. I agree, I agree. He should lose points, not us.
Don't take my fantasy points away. I agree. Now, Rasheed Shaheed is definitely one of those like risky sit start.
You're gonna hear us say that a lot for some of these midline players. He's not someone who's an auto sit, but he could potentially be started depending on who you're making a decision between. So if I'm deciding between Rasheed Shaheed and Josh Downs, I'm going Rasheed Shaheed, simply because Rasheed Shaheed is on the field all of the time, Josh Downs is not.
So that's what I'm thinking about there. Now I'm gonna go Wanda Robinson over Rasheed Shaheed this week. But again, Rasheed Shaheed is very dependent.
He's like boom or bust. He's either gonna have a great week or he's not gonna do much of anything, but he's probably going to at least score you like five to 10 fantasy points. So if you're worried about a guy who might goose egg you, he's at least gonna get you something.
So he's kind of in that midline. To me, two running back split room, they were, it was still a 73-31 count, but if you were watching Red Zone, you saw a lot of Kendray Miller and not a lot of Alvin Kamara, and you were kind of like, oh my God, is Kamara hurt? I had to immediately look it up.
But to me, Kendray Miller and Kamara, Kamara, Kamara? Kamara. Alvin, Alvin Kamara.
And then Chipmunks. Shit. It's Alvin, it's Kamara.
Kamara. Now I started to question myself as I kept saying it out loud. They're both stars for me.
I think Kendray Miller's looks great. Kamara looks great. I think both of them could be easy starts this week.
Great options in this matchup as well. And then Jawan Johnson, I know he had a low week. It makes people sad when that happens, but that's the nature of a midline tight end.
I'm still starting him this week for sure. And this could be a potential sneaky good option. They are playing a rookie quarterback.
Could he potentially throw some picks? Yes. I'm not gonna like jump at this as an option as a defensive start option, but if you don't really have anything else, maybe take a flyer on it.
It's an option.
[Angie Sims] (39:33 - 42:27)
Okay. And then moving into Cowboys Jets. Dak Prescott is a must start.
You have to start Dak, right? He had a baller week four. Just a must start.
Don't even have words to talk about him anymore because he's just great. Wide receivers, CeeDee Lamb, we're watching for that injury. Is he gonna return for week four?
Is he still going to be out? If he doesn't, then we're looking at George Pickens, obviously, as a must start, right? Showed up and showed out in week four.
11 targets, 134 yards, two touchdowns, 33 fantasy points. Amazing. Favorite option for Dak out there, right?
With Lamb out. Now there's two other wide receivers that I would not start. I'm not saying that they are starts at all, but Kavante Turpin, Jalen Tolbert are people to kind of look at if you are weak in that wide receiver, deep kind of flex options.
Those are someone to look at because with Lamb sidelined, they're gonna give a little bit more value to Dak's passing game. Running back, Javante Williams, start him. He's a great start.
20 carries, 85 yards. He even scored a touchdown with, and had three catches. Like that upside is amazing.
You have to get him in your lineup. Jake Ferguson, I think, is another great tight end. He's reliable.
Seven targets, caught all seven of them. 40 yards and a touchdown. He's Dak's security blanket, right?
Especially in the red zone. Lock him up in your lineup. And then I'm sitting the Cowboys defense.
They haven't been really creating a lot of pressure. They're bad on third downs. Even with the Jets kind of weak offense and how they've struggled, I think there's better options out there.
Similar to what Amanda was just saying about the Saints. And then on the Jets side, Justin Fields, man, maybe he just needed a concussion to reset him because he had a great week, a bum week. And then Tyra Taylor came in.
And then he had another great week, right? They're for 226 yards, 87 rushing yards. That's why we love a rushing quarterback.
We love a rushing mother fricking quarterback, right? 27 fantasy points against the Dallas defense that hasn't been able to stop much. Fields is a go, go, go.
Garrett Wilson is a must-start. Really nothing to talk about there. He's the alpha on the offense.
Brees Hall's a start. He's trending up. Raylan Allen's hurt now.
He's seeing a lot more work. Last week he had 14 carries and 81 yards. The talent's good.
He's getting enough volume. He is a must-start. Mason Taylor, really not much to talk about there.
At the tight end position, sit him. You know, he had 65 yards and five catches. Not really that, unless you're super desperate.
You're sitting him or not picking him up because you probably don't have him rostered. I don't know what the roster percentage of Mason Taylor is, but probably not much. Probably little to none.
Probably little to none, correct. And then the Jets defense, we saw a bad Miami team beat up on them. And they really, now they're gonna face Dax.
Dax, Dax. I had Dax as a past student.
[Amanda Black] (42:27 - 42:29)
I'm saying Dax. I would move on from them at this point.
[Angie Sims] (42:29 - 42:38)
Yeah, move on from the Jets. I think they had big talk of the past Jets defense, but they're looking rough.
[Amanda Black] (42:38 - 45:53)
Yeah, nah, no, no, no. I think that's gonna be a terrible, terrible defensive start this week. All right, moving over to probably, in my opinion, the game of the week.
Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles. This is gonna be a bloodbath to really, really, really good fucking defenses. It's a scary one, and that's gonna impact a lot of my decisions here.
So we're gonna start with Denver. I'm sitting down Bo Nix if I can this week. I would start Justin Fields over Bo Nix, Daniel Jones over Bo Nix, Dak Prescott over Bo Nix.
Not because I don't believe in Bo Nix, because the Philadelphia's defense is that good, and he's gonna struggle. So definitely I'm not looking hot on Bo Nix this week. Courtland Sutton, you likely have to start him.
You probably don't have the option to sit him down. So you're probably just gonna have to start him, clench your butt cheeks, and just taper your expectations, okay? He's not gonna have a week like he did last week.
I don't think, hopefully he doesn't have a 1.6 point week like he did in week number three, but just taper your expectations and breathe a little bit, because he's probably not gonna have the best week of his life. You're sitting Troy Franklin, you're sitting Marvin Mims, don't even think about them. You're starting J.K. Dobbins. This was Sean Payton's first running back with over 100 yards in Denver, which is super amazing. J.K. looks great this year. You can definitely give J.K. Dobbins a start. You can also give R.J. Harvey the start. They're splitting time well, and they're not taking away from each other. They're very much Gibbs Montgomery-esque right now.
They're sharing time well, and they're both performing very, very well. Now again, they're playing against the Eagles. If you have, I would go Montgomery over R.J. Harvey, because Montgomery's up against Cincinnati, which is gonna be far more favorable matchup than R.J. Harvey, but if you have to throw R.J. Harvey in due to bye weeks, you're not gonna be totally depressed about that for sure. Evan Ingram is a split. He's splitting time in this position. He's not someone that I'm looking to start at all.
You can go ahead and drop him and pick someone else up. Someone like Dalton Kincaid, Ferguson, Ertz over Ingram, sorry. Pick him up again, drop him and then pick him up again.
Even Juwan Johnson over Ingram, Darren Waller over Ingram, which we'll talk about Waller a little bit later on options. Denver, they're an awesome defense. They're a risky start.
So here's kind of my opinion. I'm not dropping the Denver defense. Don't drop them.
You want them in weeks in the future because they're playing to have really good matchups. If for some reason you have space on your roster where someone got hurt and you can drop a player and you can throw Denver on your bench this week and stream another defense, go for it. If you can't do that, you're gonna have to run it back on Denver.
And again, just taper your expectations. It's not gonna be a ball or week, but you really don't wanna give up a defense like that. That's a defense you wanna keep in your back pocket.
That's a winning league defense, okay? Don't drop them. Moving on to Philadelphia.
Again, I know it's not a favorable matchup for Jalen Hurts. You're starting Jalen Hurts, so you're not gonna sit him down. It's not like a Bo Nix who you have options for.
You're gonna put Jalen Hurts in. I would try to sit Devontae Smith this week. Terrible matchup.
The entire receiving core has been struggling to begin with, so he's not someone I'm super excited about this week. I would try to sit him down if you can. Again, if you have to start him, you're just gonna hope that he gets the work and maybe AJ Brown continues to put out cryptic tweets.
Did you see his cryptic tweet? If you're not keen, you... I was like, oh, is that like sassy?
[Angie Sims] (45:54 - 46:04)
And then there was something else after the game or there was another one that was like, it's like, I love you guys or something. It's like, come on, just read your book. Be on the sidelines, read your book.
You're fine.
[Amanda Black] (46:05 - 46:07)
And you just meditate. AJ, I can lead you through a meditation if you want.
[Angie Sims] (46:07 - 46:09)
I know, there you go.
[Amanda Black] (46:09 - 46:18)
And here's the thing. AJ Brown, he's still a wide receiver one and it's really hard to sit him down, right? So at this point, you're basically...
[Angie Sims] (46:18 - 46:20)
This is a conversation, it's big convo this year, right?
[Amanda Black] (46:20 - 47:12)
That we're struggling with those wide receiver one guys. I know, I know. And here's the thing.
AJ Brown has a potential to have a 20, 30 point game, which you can't say that about a lot of guys. And so he has potential to do that at any given moment. And your roster probably can't support sitting him down.
You probably have to put him in. And like, you're not gonna think, am I gonna start Jordan Addison over AJ Brown? Look, that's a weird conversation.
You're probably starting AJ Brown and just hoping that they connect. But he's probably gonna get the Sertan treatment. Who knows how that's gonna bode for him.
So like, I'm not excited to start him. If for some reason your roster could handle sitting him down, girl, go for it. If you wanna take a risk on another guy, I would rather take a risk on a guy and he'd do halfway decent, then have him in my lineup and he'd give me two fucking points because that'll just piss me off.
Sixth from Barkley, auto start. Dallas Goddard, absolutely start. Eagles defense, absolutely start.
[Angie Sims] (47:13 - 48:59)
Oh yeah. Easy, easy, easy. And then moving into Miami versus the Panthers.
On the Miami side, Chuba had a quiet week in week four. I would sit him for week five. 177 passing yards and two touchdowns, yes.
So he didn't do terrible, not terrible, but that's why you drafted him to be that quarterback, right? With Tyreek out, I think that affects Chuba Tegefailoa, right? I'd sit him until we kind of see how the offense adjusts to Tyreek being gone.
And that kind of leads into the poor, womp womp Tyreek, because he was headed for probably the best game of his year so far. I was like, every time they showed something, it was Tyreek, Tyreek, Tyreek. And I'm trying to bump between both games.
I don't even know why that Cincinnati-Denver game was even on TV, to be honest with you. This game was much more favorable to watch. Jalen Wardle is a start for me with Hill sidelined.
He is the go-to guy immediately for Miami. Confidently start him. Devon Achan is a definite start.
He looked great last night in their game. Rushed for 20 times, 99 yards, and a touchdown, 17 fantasy points. Great.
Ollie Gordon is still someone to look at, but not really as favorable as maybe we were thinking in previous weeks, right? He's getting goal line touches. He's there, but I think Achan is kind of telling everybody, shut up, I'm not hurt, I'm fine.
Don't forget about me, people, making his name. Darren Waller was the surprise of the night for me, besides the foot going the wrong way. You know, that was a surprise.
But Darren Waller is a baller. He's a sneaky one, right?
[Amanda Black] (49:00 - 49:01)
He was relevant in week four.
[Angie Sims] (49:02 - 50:51)
He was not relevant until week four, right? Well, he wasn't in NFL. He didn't play until week four.
I know, I know, that's what I mean. He wasn't even relevant, right? He came back, he's like, guess who's back?
17 fantasy points with Hill gone. I think Waller's going to step up even more and be a red zone weapon. If you snagged him on waivers, we're going to talk about waivers on social media.
We talked about it already. If you're waking up today on Thursday morning saying, oh, I got him, you're in a great position, girl, because you are right. Start him, start him.
And then Miami defense, I think that they are streaming option this week. Carolina hasn't really been able to put up consistent points. Miami's defense struggles against the run.
They gave up almost 200 yards to the Jets. We know that. But the Panthers don't exactly scare me.
So I would play Miami's defense over the Jets this week if you needed a streaming defense, if you were really, really desperate, if yours is on a bye week, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Going into the Carolina Panthers, oh my word, this team. I don't know what to say.
Bryce Young, you're city, right? Not startable right now. He only threw for 150 yards, no touchdowns.
10 fantasy points, nothing, okay? Even against that shaky Miami defense, he's not in your lineup. I'm not trusting him.
Tedderoa McMillan is a little bit of a different option. I think he's still a start. I think he's letting people down just a little bit, but he's a rookie, people.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves, right? He still had 62 yards, four catches, nothing amazing, but he's getting you some reliable points. Amanda mentioned it earlier.
He's not goose-egging you, right? He's not that. He's doing better than A.J. Brown and Devontae Smith. Like, come on. And he's really the real option in the offense for Bryce Young's passing, right? He's getting the opportunities.
Chuba Hubbard, I think, is a very good start. He's been- He's just getting all the work.
[Amanda Black] (50:51 - 50:52)
So, like, so much work. He's doing all the work.
[Angie Sims] (50:52 - 50:53)
That's right. Makes him such a fan.
[Amanda Black] (50:53 - 50:54)
That's what I was gonna say.
[Angie Sims] (50:54 - 51:48)
He's a solid RB2, flex play, get him in your lineup. This was my other name that I thought was so cool. Tommy Tremble.
It doesn't sound like he is a superhero. Yes. You know how they have that thing where it's like their first name is their last name, like Peter Parker?
Right. Tommy Tremble's the guy, right? He sounds like he's a superhero.
Maybe he's gonna be the superhero for the team the rest of the year. Who knows? But 15 fantasy points, 42 yards, and a touchdown last week.
There was a light at the end of the Panthers' tunnel that we all saw, and hopefully Tommy Tremble keeps being their superhero. And then the Panthers' defense, you gotta sit them, right? It's been rough.
They're giving up points just to about everyone, right? They gave up over a hundred yards to Stephon Diggs last week. And with Tyreek Hill, it might not be a complete blowout, but this defense isn't good enough to trust, right?
In fantasy, you gotta sit them.
[Amanda Black] (51:49 - 54:57)
Next up, Houston Texans versus the Baltimore Ravens. Let's get into it. CJ Stroud, in my opinion, is probably like, he might be a streaming quarterback at some point, but right now I'm gonna sit him down.
His O-line is absolutely terrible. I'm actually fearful about CJ Stroud's life at this point because he's gotten hit so many mother-effing times. He's an incredibly risky start, not someone I'm excited about.
I would even go as far to say, I would prefer to throw Jackson Dart in and take a huge flyer on Jackson Dart over CJ Stroud this week. So just keep that in mind there as well. Niko Collins is an easy, absolute start.
He's getting all of the targets from CJ Stroud. Yes, I know CJ's a little sketchy, but Niko himself is not sketchy. You're gonna sit down, Christian.
Christian Kirk, just not even a starter at this point. Don't even look his way. In the running back room, sit down, Nick Chubb.
Go ahead and throw Woody Marks on into your lineup. He's a great starting option this week. So we love to see a good breakout rookie.
And so give Woody the go ahead for sure. Dalton Schultz, again, not like a tight end I get excited about. However, he's a tight end.
You can consistently rely on getting you anywhere between four to six points religiously, right? Like you can bet on that one for sure. He's not my favorite because Dalton Schultz is slow as fuck.
So he's not someone I'm super excited about, but he does have a solid floor, but he does not have a high ceiling. Typically when I'm looking at a streaming tight end, I want a tight end with not only a solid floor, but the potential for a really high ceiling. Dalton Schultz is not that guy, but if you do need someone with a consistent floor, he could be an option.
Houston Texans defense has looked great. And I love them as a start with Lamar Jackson being out. Give them the go, run it back.
If you had them last week, you can go ahead and keep them in your lineup. Now moving over to the Baltimore side of the football, holy bless, a little bit scary, okay? Because we have a backup quarterback and Lamar Jackson is out.
That now makes Zay Flowers a risky start decision. Who knows how this is gonna go? We don't.
So to me, he becomes a sit. He's not someone I'm willing to play. I would play Jacoby Myers over Zay Flowers this week because I just don't know how that rookie quarterback, or not rookie quarterback, backup quarterback situation's gonna go for them.
Bateman is a sit, not even a conversation we need to have. He's typically not gonna be someone you ever start and less desperate. Derrick Henry's an auto start.
Ladies, don't get scared by the fact that Justice Hill out snapped him. They were down. They were losing.
They had to throw the ball. So he was ineffective. So they took him out.
So he didn't get hurt. There was no point in them keeping him in the game. Don't get worried about that.
Derrick Henry smashed the start button. They're gonna have to use the ever living shit out of him. Justice Hill, don't get caught up in Justice Hill performing well.
We all see big points. We all get shiny object syndrome. Don't do that.
He's fine to have on your roster. He might be a streaming or a flex start if all of your running backs are out for the week, but he's not someone I'm excited about starting because he's not gonna continue that work. It was just a one-off week.
And I'm probably moving on from Mark Andrews at this point. Isaiah likely is back. They're probably gonna start to incorporate him into the offense more as he continues to get snaps again.
So he's fine, but he's not someone I'm excited about. I'm gonna start Kelsey over Andrews, Fergie over Andrews, Ertz over Andrews, Waldo over Andrews, Tonges, Tonges. That's how you say it.
That's it. If I say it wrong, I'll get it.
[Angie Sims] (54:58 - 55:00)
Tonges over Andrews. I knew there was a J in there.
[Amanda Black] (55:00 - 55:08)
Yes, Tonges over Andrews as well. And then move the hell on from Baltimore's defense. They are riddled with injuries and they are just no longer worth your time.
[Angie Sims] (55:08 - 55:22)
And then going into this game, Titans versus the Cardinals. I really am not gonna talk a lot about the Titans because the Titans just aren't good, right? You're sitting Cam Ward.
You are sitting Calvin Ridley. How did your spicy pick go last week? Oh, booty hole.
[Amanda Black] (55:23 - 55:33)
Absolutely. Listen, I was like, let me take a flyer on Calvin Ridley. Cause like spicy, right?
You're like some curve ball bro. Hope they do good. Oh, don't do that.
Bad, poop the bed.
[Angie Sims] (55:33 - 56:07)
Bad, bad. The really only bright spot I see that I'm considering to put in my lineup is Alec Iomanor. He had seven targets, caught two for 44 yards.
Was only had 6.4 fantasy points. Nothing exciting, but in this offense, he's more trustworthy than Ridley right now. I'd flex Iomanor over guys like maybe Josh Downs, over Christian Kirk, over Trey Tucker.
I might even, I just was thinking about this as Amanda was talking, I might start Alec Iomanor over Devonta Smith. I just might. I might.
Against that Denver defense, I might start him over them.
[Amanda Black] (56:08 - 56:11)
Over him. Jose Flowers too. That would kind of be, that's risky, but I mean shit.
[Angie Sims] (56:12 - 56:47)
Yeah. I'm willing to take those risks with the performance of that and with a quarterback out. And then Tony Pollard is a start.
Tony Pollard is a start for this team. He's the guy doing most things. He's been steady, steady production.
Tight end, you know, we talked about Chig a couple of weeks ago or last week, but Chig really didn't do much. No go for Chig. And then Titans defense sit.
Wow, they are atrocious. They are abysmal. No upside.
Sit them. Arizona side, Kyler Murray is a start. I think he has a very safe floor, has upside.
Just what we need in a quarterback. Marvin Harrison Jr. is still kind of letting us down, but he's- No, he didn't!
[Amanda Black] (56:47 - 56:48)
I know, I know.
[Angie Sims] (56:48 - 57:50)
I think that we're not seeing as much as we want from him. I think he's still like, we can see more. That's what I mean, right?
So he's their guy. Honestly, you're starting him over guys like Calvin Ridley. You're starting over Devonta Smith.
He has the volume. He's the go-to guy. And then as far as running back, Trey Benson, we're watching and monitoring his health, right?
So there is still an injury there. They had another practice, I think yesterday, just because of the short turnaround time. He didn't practice in that game.
If he's active, he's a start. Tennessee allows almost 150 rushing yards a game. One of the worst in the league.
So he is a start. I do not have right now in front of me, the backup for Trey Benson even. So we're going deep in the depth chart there.
I wouldn't even worry about- But he's not someone to look for, or to look at. I think he's going to be fine too, but just worth mentioning. And then Trey McBride is still a start, still a solid guy for Murray.
I would start the Arizona defense here against the booty, booty, booty hole, Tennessee Titans.
[Amanda Black] (57:50 - 1:00:47)
Whenever you have someone playing against the Tennessee Titans, who's the defense? Go ahead. Give them a go.
You're going to get some points off of a few turnovers, right? All right. Moving over to Tampa Bay versus the Seahawks.
Tampa Bay faces another brutal defense after coming off of the Eagles. So we have Baker Mayfield. He's a start.
We watched him say, hold my beer on that guy. I love Baker Mayfield, like creating shit talking, and then like letting his O-line handle it. And then he just walking away because Baker is the king of shit talk.
I love him. A mecca, a bucca, my dude. Keep on cooking, baby.
Keep on going. I love to see it. Chris Godwin made his debut back into the NFL after that season-ending injury last year.
He had 10 reception, or 10 targets, three receptions, 26 yards, 5.6 fantasy points. He's not an auto set for me. I think you can go ahead and throw him in the lineup, but I would go Godwin over Kirk.
I would go Godwin over Kup, over Franklin. I would go Alec Ayo-Manor over Chris Godwin though. So just keep that in mind.
But if you need someone because a lot of people are out on a buy, you can go ahead and throw Chris Godwin into your lineup for sure, specifically with Mike Evans still being out as well. Bucket Irving is an absolute start. Obviously watch injury issues.
He got banged up in that game, but he should be okay to go. And if he does, you play him. You're gonna go ahead and sit down Rashad White.
Again, the Seahawks are good against the run. We watched the Seahawks basically shut down Trey Benson last week. Trey had a ton of juice, so I'm still very excited about Trey Benson.
However, just taper your expectations. Rashad White's not someone I'm looking at this week. Today, Kate Auten is irrelevant right now, so you sit him down.
And I would sit down the Tampa Bay defense. I think there's better streaming options out there than Tampa Bay. Moving over to the Seahawks side of the football, we have Sam Darnold, solid streaming quarterback.
Not someone I'm gonna start every single week, but if you need a guy this week, he's great. He goes over Geno Smith. He goes over Trevor Lawrence.
Dak over Darnold though, so don't sit Dak for Darnold. Darnold over CJ Stroud. I would go Jared Goff over Darnold this week because the Lions play the Bengals, the Bungles, or we could call them.
They are looking good. Jackson Smith and Jigma, you're starting him every single week. Don't even question that, absolutely.
I'm gonna sit down Cooper Cupp. He did have five targets, so like, look at that, but I'm still not super excited about him. When I'm looking at the running back room, Kenneth Walker versus Charbonnet, I'm starting Kenneth Walker.
In my personal opinion, can they just please give Kenneth Walker 60% of that backfield, 70% of the backfield? Can we sit Charbonnet down? Because the only reason Charbonnet was relevant was because they put him in for a motherfucking touchdown, and if they continue to do that, I'm going to punch myself in the nose.
I have Kenneth Walker, okay? Give me- Stop stealing my tutties. Give me my tutties.
I literally am, I was on the phone with my husband because I was like dog sitting, and I'm like, father, papa, papa. I was, a lot of those entities were upset because I was so mad because there he is, fucking Charbonnet in the backfield. Nonetheless, I'm gonna start Kenneth Walker.
I'm probably gonna go ahead and sit down Sharps though. They are very, very, Tampa Bay's good against the run. So it's just something that, Seahawks, I'm sorry.
The Seahawks, right? I'm talking about the Seahawks?
[Angie Sims] (1:00:47 - 1:00:48)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[Amanda Black] (1:00:48 - 1:01:17)
The Seahawks are, oh, I'm sorry. No, Tampa Bay has been good against the run. Hello, Seahawks are also good against the run.
That's where we're going back and forth. It's just a good run situation. Nonetheless, I'm gonna start Kenneth Walker.
I'm gonna sit down Sharps. No tight end conversation for the Seahawks at this point. And I'm probably, they're playing a really good Tampa Bay.
So it's a maybe start if you want to take a shot on it, but maybe moving on from the Seahawks this week, but they have looked great as a defensive unit. So if you want to take a shot, you can feel comfortable with it for sure.
[Angie Sims] (1:01:17 - 1:01:52)
Yep, moving on into Detroit Lions and the Bungoles. So for the Lions, I think Jared Goff is a must start here. I'm gonna have a really strong week five against that Cincinnati defense.
Amon Ross St. Brown, auto start. Jamison Williams is a little bit different here. I think that he's more of a boomer bus player.
He had eight targets, but only caught for 40 yards. Gave him about six fantasy points. Volume's encouraging, but if you're looking for upside in a good matchup, I think I would roll with him, right?
He's a good role for this week. And then Jameer Gibbs, Jamar, Jameer. Oh God, here we go again with the names.
[Amanda Black] (1:01:52 - 1:01:52)
Jameer, Jameer, Jameer.
[Angie Sims] (1:01:52 - 1:02:58)
Jameer Gibbs is an auto start. 91 rushing yards, 15 carries plus a rushing touchdown. Very, very encouraging there.
Now, David Montgomery did not have a great week, but I think in this week five, he is a must start with that really poor Cincinnati defense. And then Sam Laporta, I think is a start here as well. He hasn't done anything really amazing, but in today's tight end landscape, I think he's a really good starting option.
Detroit defense, start. Start them against the Cincinnati offense. Great option.
For the Cincinnati Bengals, whoo, lots of whoo, scary situations here. Jake Browning should not even be rostered. He should not even be a thought in your mind, right?
Don't even think about him. Then we move into wide receivers, and this is a really, really sad situation that we're talking about, right? Because Jamar Chase is your one-on-one pick, right?
I mean, you picked him probably first or pretty close to first. I think he is a sit, he is a pray, and he is a clench your butt cheeks kind of guy for week number five, right? Sit and pray or start and pray?
Oh, I'm sorry. Start and pray. Start and pray.
[Amanda Black] (1:02:58 - 1:03:00)
Oh my God. I was like, wait, sit and pray?
[Angie Sims] (1:03:00 - 1:03:55)
What are you praying with? I guess sit and pray doesn't do anything, but no, I mean, start and pray. Start, pray, clench the butt cheeks.
That's what you got to do there. You drafted Chase early because of his upside. You're not benching him, right?
You just have to have some hope. Tee Higgins on the other side, I would say would be a sit unless he is a flex option for you because you need somebody, but against that Detroit defense, I don't think that things are looking really great for Tee there. Chase Brown, again, a little bit of a bummer for Chase Brown.
I think we all had big expectations for him. He is getting all the work in the backfield though, so there's some appeal for him there. I'd start someone like a David Montgomery over him, obviously, but Brown's still a usable guy over guys like Zach Charbonnet, like Amanda just mentioned, right?
He has volume based on his RB too. He could be a flex option for you. I would probably say sit him though against this defense.
Bengals defense. No, we don't even need to talk about it. Sit them.
[Amanda Black] (1:03:56 - 1:04:35)
Yeah, don't even think about it. All right, moving on to Washington Commanders and the Los Angeles Chargers. So if Daniels, Jane Daniels is back here, go ahead and go ahead and throw him back into your lineup.
Welcome back, Jane and Daniels. It's a really good favorable matchup against the Chargers as well because they typically are bad against scrambling quarterbacks and Jane and Daniels loves to use his leggies. So welcome back, Jane and Daniels.
Hopefully you play. I need you back so bad. Thank you.
Okay. Samuels, you can go ahead and get him started. Terry McLaurin, if he's back, you can start him.
I just really worry about a quad injury where does he come back and take one route, pull something and go out and goose egg you for the week? And he's explosive.
[Angie Sims] (1:04:35 - 1:04:39)
So he uses, you know, he runs good routes. So yeah.
[Amanda Black] (1:04:39 - 1:06:53)
If for some reason you can manage sitting him down and starting someone over him, maybe taper that expectation and wait till he's fully healthy. Maybe they'll let him sit one more week. I kind of hope that they do.
But if you need to start him, you can go and throw it in and just like hope he doesn't get that injury that comes back. The running back room. Kowalski-Merritt, Chris Rodriguez, Jerry McNichols.
I don't want any part of them when they're in a 33% committee. You can't even bet on that. Get out of here with that nonsense.
I don't want any of them. I'm not starting any of them. I'm gonna sit them all down.
Unless you're absolutely desperate and you have a bye week where you need to start one of these guys, good fricking luck choosing who's gonna get the work. I don't want any of them right now. Zach Earth, still a good start.
Jaden, Daniels and him have connected quite a bit when Jaden was playing. He's been out for a few weeks. Zach Earth has still been an active part of the offense.
Only four targets, two receptions, 21 yards, one two-point conversion, 6.1 fantasy points. Still a valid tight end start for you this week. And then when I'm looking at the commander's defense, I just think there's far better options out there.
I would look away from them this week. Justin Herbert, I know he had a down week. Don't let it scare you.
He's still a star. He's got so many offensive weapons and we love that for him. I think he's gonna have a great comeback week this week against a not so great commander's defense.
Quinn Johnston, yeah. I mean, at this point, steal of the draft. Go ahead, start him.
He's a big play guy too. So he is getting the deep targets from Herbert. So he's racking up points big time.
We love that for him. One touchdown again this week, 23.8 fantasy points. I love it.
Keenan Allen, yeah. Again, starting him, don't question it. Go in for another, yeah, like late round steal 12.
Round 12 steal, love that for him. Here's a conundrum with a lot of McConkie is Keenan Allen's taking over a lot of work that Ladd was once getting. When Keenan Allen came in, Ladd kind of became less relevant than he was.
Last year they needed him. He was the only guy there for them. And now he's not.
And there's a lot of mouth defeats. Now, me and my husband did make a bet. I'm gonna make this public, okay?
I said, Ladd McConkie is a set. He's not getting more than 10 points this week. He said, he's a start and he is getting more 10 points this week.
And if I lose, he has to pour a cup of cold water over my head. And if he loses, I pour water over his head. That was the only bet we could come up with.
We share money. What are we gonna do, bet money? No, more torturous things than that.
I don't want more torturous things. I'm too nervous. I'm gonna lose, damn it.
But I wouldn't go ahead. Either of you.
[Angie Sims] (1:06:53 - 1:06:55)
I need to see either of it. I think everybody wants to see either.
[Amanda Black] (1:06:55 - 1:06:56)
My video footage, for sure.
[Angie Sims] (1:06:56 - 1:07:01)
Okay, so if you're not on the Patreon, go. You will check it out on the Patreon. It will be there for you.
[Amanda Black] (1:07:01 - 1:07:34)
A little live footage of the punishment. But I am gonna go ahead and sit down, Ladd McConkie. I want a bro.
A bro on TikTok was like, oh, you'll be saying different when Ladd scores 40 points next week. And I went back and trolled him. And I was like, how'd that work out for you, bub?
How'd those, what do you have, 2.1 points? Womp, womp, womp, bub. I love trolling dudes.
Okay, Omar and Hampton is an immediate start. Go for it. We love it.
Other than that, there's really no one else from the Chargers side. In regards to the Chargers defense, I mean, potentially, maybe fine. But I'd probably move away from them and go someone else in week number five.
[Angie Sims] (1:07:35 - 1:10:36)
And then my last match up here is Patriots versus Bills. Patriots, we're starting Drake May. He had a solid ass week.
203 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown. So you go, Drake May. He looks like a baby.
He looks like an actual baby. But he's so cute. He's cute, he's like a little boy Ray.
He did so good. He did so cute. Stephon Diggs is a start.
He's finally emerged, in my opinion, as that wide receiver we all know and we love. He's like, screw you, I'm not old. I'm still here.
101 yards, six catches, 16 fantasy points. He's also got a revenge game storyline here for week number five, right? Against the Buffalo Bills.
So I believe in him for week number five. Keishon Booty, I think, is a sit. I think he was a little bit of a flash in the pan.
He was really cool. All were great. He has a really cool ass name, but didn't do much in week number four.
So we're gonna sit him. And then the running back room, very similar to the commander's situation, right? That 33% timeshare situation.
I don't even know why they're still entertaining. Trae, a reminder, Stephen said. I don't even know why they are.
Because I think any other team he'd be on, he would be in the doghouse, as they say, right? He would be benched. He would be punished.
He would be out. And Traevion Henderson would be taking the glory we all know that he deserves, right? But I think that there's really no one to look at.
You gotta proceed with caution in the running back room for the Patriots. Hunter Henry, you know, has been really solid. I think this week you have to be a little bit more tentative on him, right?
Low expectations. The defense is good against tight ends. So a Ruffalo defense is good against tight ends.
So that's something to keep in your mind. He's startable, but don't expect a huge week. He might be one of those reliable five, six pointers who are gonna get you some points, but not completely make you mad and wanna bang your head off the kitchen table.
And then the New England defense, I wouldn't play them against Josh Allen. Who would wanna play against Josh Allen? I wouldn't wanna play against Josh Allen.
I would like to meet Josh Allen, but. Same. And then for the middle side, I almost forgot.
I was so taken by Josh Allen. You gotta start Josh Allen. He is the freaking man.
Khalil Shakir, I think as wide receiver is a start. He had a great week number four. And of course he was on my bench.
Of course he was on my bench. He's locked in as Allen's top target. Keon Coleman isn't really living up to that fantasy relevant hype, right?
We all thought really big things of Keon Coleman. I would sit him this week. James Cook is a must-start.
He is a beast. He is continuing to cook in, weekend, and week out. He is a must-start, RB1, in week five.
Dalton Kincaid's also a really good start. He had a small game, but he was efficient, right? He's startable, especially for red zone connection with Allen.
Great, reliable tight end there. And then Buffalo defense, I would start them. They're a solid defense in this matchup against the Patriots team that's a little bit inconsistently.
They've had some turnovers. Should generate some good flow for you and your points.
[Amanda Black] (1:10:36 - 1:11:50)
I love it. All right, last matchup here for every week five matchup, Kansas City versus Jacksonville Jaguars. This is your Monday night football game.
We have Patrick Mahomes. Go ahead and get him in your lineup. We'd love to see it.
Xavier Worthy. Yes, I think he's a start. Specifically going Worthy over Flowers, over Addison this week.
Both great options. Specifically, like we said, Lamar out. Worthy's a great option here with more favorable upside.
After the injury, they said they were gonna limit him. Yeah, he looked great. So I don't think we really need to limit him.
Let's get him a tighty this week. How about that? Juju Smith-Schuster.
Yes, he was involved a lot, but he's probably not rostered. Don't roster him. Don't start him.
Don't do anything like there. I'm sitting down Hollywood Brown at this point. And it's same thing with a Taekwon Thornton.
He's been involved, but he's still not involved enough for me to get excited about. So he's a sit. Isaiah Pacheco.
I'm sitting Pacheco. He has not looked great. Did he have a decent game this week?
Yes. He doesn't appear to have the juice. I don't want any part of him.
In my opinion, you're only gonna be happy if he scores a touchdown and he's not gonna score a touchdown all the time. So in my opinion, you're gonna go ahead and sit down Isaiah Pacheco. You could start Travis Kelsey.
He's been a reliable, consistent floor guy when it comes to points. I know he's not been as exciting as he once was. He no longer is exciting.
He's never gonna be like that again. He's not as he once was, right? But he's as good once as he ever was.
[Angie Sims] (1:11:51 - 1:12:01)
Oh no. You threw it in there. You're a little country reference there.
Nonetheless, you can go ahead and he's done more exciting in his personal life, not on his game.
[Amanda Black] (1:12:01 - 1:12:03)
Oh, you just gotta do what you gotta do, you know?
[Angie Sims] (1:12:03 - 1:12:05)
But I liked the Taylor Swift go in there.
[Amanda Black] (1:12:06 - 1:12:06)
Oh yeah, yeah.
[Angie Sims] (1:12:06 - 1:12:07)
I liked the lyric there.
[Amanda Black] (1:12:07 - 1:13:49)
That wasn't a Taylor Swift reference. That was a country reference. As good once as I ever was.
I thought it was like some lyrics. I'm not that good with T-Swift. The Kansas City defense.
Yeah, I think you always have a good start. I think you always have a chance of Trevor Lawrence throwing an interception. So you could throw him in if you need to.
On the Jack side of the football, I'm not excited by Trevor Lawrence. I'm sitting down unless you actually absolutely have no other options. Again, Daniel Jones over Lawrence.
I would even go Bo Nix over Lawrence. Even though I hate Bo Nix matchup, I'd still take the shot on Bo Nix. Or I would go Wavers over Bo Nix or Trevor Lawrence this week and throw someone more fringe in there, like a Sam Darnold, someone I could trust a little bit more.
BTJ, unfortunately, you're just gonna have to keep starting him. At least we did see the receptions increase, targets went up, all of that good stuff. So 49 yards, 10.6 fantasy points. You're not happy about it because you expect more from him, but you're not pissed this week at BTJ at least. We've seen like Parker Washington come down. We've seen Travis Hunter come down.
So both sits for Parker Washington and Travis Hunter. So I think BTJ will continue to get more work and he's a good start this week. Travis Etienne, God, yeah.
Keep going ahead and starting him. Kansas City is the sixth easiest against the running back. So this is a really good start this week.
I'm gonna go ahead and sit down by Shel Tootin. We did not see his targets increase this week. We thought maybe they'd start to favor him.
They didn't, so I'll sit him down this week. Brenton Strange is a great streaming tight end option. Again, a very reliable guy here as well.
And then in regards to the Jacksonville defense, absolutely not, go ahead and sit them down. Not worth it. And that is every single week five football matchup, both sides of the football, who to sit, who to start.
We're gonna wrap this up with our sweet and spiciest starts of the week as usual. So Ange, go ahead and kick us off with your sweet start of the week.
[Angie Sims] (1:13:49 - 1:14:12)
My sweet start of the week is Chuba Hubbard. I think Chuba Hubbard is a go-to guy here. He is going against a Chicago defense that has allowed the second fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks, but the ninth most fantasy points to running backs.
So I think they were gonna rely on Chuba Hubbard a lot in this matchup. He is a top 12 back this week for me. What is your sweet start of the week?
[Amanda Black] (1:14:12 - 1:14:25)
My sweet start of the week is little Emeka Abuka. I should say little, cause he's not little, but he's young and I love the rookie Emeka Abuka. He's been showing up.
He's been performing really, really well and consistent guy for Baker. So an easy sweet start of the week for me.
[Angie Sims] (1:14:26 - 1:14:55)
Okay. And then we're moving into spicy starts of the week. I'm gonna go with Brian Thomas Jr. I'm gonna go with him as my spicy start of the week, just because we haven't been as happy with him. People are kind of kicking themselves, but he had, like Amanda said, a really great week four. Not great, but better week than we've seen him. And I think he leads the teams in targets.
I think he's gonna be a good bet for week number five.
[Amanda Black] (1:14:56 - 1:16:19)
I love that spicy start of the week, mostly because I'm his manager. So I want him to have a good week. All right.
Jake Tonjes is my spicy start of the week. This is a great favorable tight end option. I think he's gonna fall on a lot of people's radars.
So don't let him fall on your radar. Let's see him have a banging ass week. Maybe we'll have luck of speaking a couple of these into existence for you guys.
But I think this is a great flyer. He's not gonna be there all year cause Kiddo will come back. So go ahead and give him a shot.
If you need a favorable upside and you want a little extra bang in your lineup, go ahead and throw Jake Tonjes into that lineup. That is my spicy start of the week. All right, guys.
